England v Australia - Second Ashes Test - Lord's

Because they would have taken the light? As mentioned on here about 5 times and constantly on the sky coverage? Where is that picture of the statue with its head in its hands when you need it.....

Good grief you really do love to act the twat

For a start, not everyone has Sky Sports coverage

Secondly, light was always likely to be an issue for the final 30 minutes of the days play, so its not a very impressive fecking plan is it

I just wanted to know if that was the reason the team gave for not putting them back in, rather than what people rightly speculated on here. Someone with a bit more grace would try to answer the question rather than act like a bell end about it

Why's light an issue, they've got big feck off floodlights at lords atm.

This is where cricket annoys me.

They should have asked the Aussies to follow on. They would have been on course to win the game tomorrow.

agreed. i know some will say that australia could have gotten 500+ second innings and given england a tricky little target on a 5th day turning pitch. but these are the chances you have to take if you want to win a test match. you have to take 20 wickets, end of story.

do not be surprised to see a negative strauss decide to bat on for an hour this morning.

What's the point of technology when it's not being used?

How hard is it to make a referral?

You can say the same for football and not using video or the goal line technology.

These umpires are brought up through the old style of seeing it as it is.

Why the hell did they make yesterday's referral?

Just go upstairs. I'd be surprised if that umpire could see with his advancing years and sunglasses to be sure.

Lets get Ponting out before he decides to shut up shop for two days.
