England v Australia - Fifth Ashes Test - The Oval

Out of interest, what sort of odds were available before this test for an England victory?

Nani would have gone down pretending to have injured his back.

I've no idea what any of what samabachan just said actually means

Seven one day international matches, and a twenty overs to bat and then again to bowl match (basically 3 hours).

Is it finished yet?

Absolutely not mate

A great batsman can make runs on this pitch (its not that destructive actually) and Pontin is just that. If they get a big partnership going and others weigh in with some sensible support they're a side that can hit 350+

All about Pontin at the crease this - if he gets in and stays there it could get interesting otherwise we ought to win

If we can bowl nearly as well as in the first innings it will be difficult for them but England are not the type of team that normally finishes off a game they're almost guaranteed to let the opposition in at some point

Its stupid really its the football equivalent of being 3-0 up with 25 minutes to play so it should 'nt really be a problem ..but.....

Be nice to add another 75 runs on this

Be shocked if you don't.

Just got up from my nights and well chuffed that we have only lost one wicket.
If we dec with a lead of 400-450 and then give our bowlers 2 days to bowl the Aussies out..but to be honest I think we could dec now and bowl the Aussie's out.
This test is there for the taking and only rank bad bowling can stop us winning this now, damm being on nights and not able to watch the afternoon and everning sessions.

There is approximately ZERO chance if them chasing down the lead we have now. Why bother wasting more time that could disappear if it rains?

It would take an hour after tea get about 40 let Trott get his 100 then put the Aussies in. I don't feel comfortable with around 460 lead with England and the Aussies batting with 2 days left I wouldn't call that zero chance.

Why in the name of feck haven't we declared yet?
