England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

For what it’s worth,
What will happen with Robinson? Didn't he miss a court appearance, if yes, surely they could arrest him if he tries to come back into the country from his holiday.

BlueSky is awash with details about extradition details that apply to him where he is. Fella is fecked.

I'm from Croydon, and I have family in Harrow.

Can someone educate me on the EDL logic? Are they actually threatening and numerous or insanely thick? I genuinely think theyl have their backside handed to them in these areas.
They’re definitely thick, but these folks getting their arses handed to them would be a win for the people inciting this. People like Laurence Fox are talking about race wars. They want these thickos to go out and terrorise people, but they also want them to get their arses handed to them so they can plaster that all over the media. These idiots out on the street are just fodder. Undoubtedly they’d get fecked up in Croydon, but that could backfire. The counter protests work better.

Great point by the Grans. Shout them off the streets. No presence on the streets should be tolerated.

This made me smile and took me back a few decades. To the era of NF matches and counter demonstrations. Mostly good and positive memories but also the grim ones like being on the Southall demo the day the police (the SPG) killed Blair Peach.

We didn't see the killing and we were never the unlucky ones who got overrun by a group of fascists in a tube carriage but that was only by luck. The antis could always outnumber them then and it's great to see that we still can. It's just awful to see that we're having to do it again.

Incredibly happy with the counter protests today, reminding me why people like me are still welcome here. Which in itself is an incredibly sad thing to have to say, since I was born here and it’s the only place I’ve ever lived.

It’s incredibly difficult to truly fathom the impact this sort of stuff has. Yes, the riots and all of that are incredibly shit. But what they show, and what reform votes in the last election show, is the number of people who hold these views even if they aren’t going on the streets and damaging stuff and attacking people. What if the intelligent bloke I sit opposite at work has these views? What about the person I sit next to on the train? What about the person who serves me at a coffee shop? What about the person I walk by on the street? Of course, the significant majority of all these people will not hold these views. But these riots reenforce that seed of doubt. That moment of ponder.

It’ll never be eradicated, but seeing the counter protests tonight is a very welcome reminder that actually, I shouldn’t doubt the majority of people I come across. It’s easy to forget that with the chaos of the last few days, even if only a small minority and even if only in pockets.

It’s nonetheless depressing to still hear some of the rhetoric from politicians and others in a position of power and in a position to distribute their views (e.g., Musk). More still needs to be done. Lots more. But in the mean time at least these counter protests have reminded why I still want to live here and should still believe my kids have a future here.

Absolutely fantastic scenes today. Loved seeing the massive anti-fascist counterprotests. It’s slightly restored my faith in humanity.

Fecking hell things were looking bleak over the weekend and I was not feeling optimistic about the future. But I just seen the huge crowd my home city turned out dwarfing the racists. In the office today one of my colleagues (white) told me how was going to the counter protests and that meant a lot.

I love this place and love my home can't help feel a bit emotional. I was born here and it's my country and I have as much right to it as any 'indigenous' person.

So my guess is the racist nutjobs are claiming this was all a plan to make people waste time/the list was fake or something?

They have to save face somehow and there is 0 chance I believe they are all so well organised in an underground network to tell each ither to stay home. Most can't even read or spell their own name

They just chickened out (thankfully)

Oh mate, Walthamstow was incredible. Walked into a Chai spot. 20 people sat down, all brown faces. Shouted to the fella at the counter to ask if I could use the toilet.

“Oi, boys… does he look EDL to you?”

Cue a chorus of ‘Yeah he does. That cnuts EDL’ ‘He’s fecking EDL’. Two motion to get up.

As I squealed ‘nah nah nah. feck off mate they’re cnuts’ the whole place is pissing themselves laughing halfway through my sentence.

‘Sorry mate, that shits just funny every time, thank you for coming out yeah’

It was a great night and I’d expected it to be truly awful. I can’t imagine being a non white person outside of a main City right now. I’m from a town of 20,000 people and I know how bad it is.

My words are empty, but know that the vast majority of this country are not cnuts. We have lots of them, but they’re a loud and wanky minority.

By the sounds of it feck all happened, get a sense of scare-mongering either from an individual or a group. Sending people home from work, boarding up shops, not going out etc.. it’s just rises the tension within the community especially when they’re on the edge already.

It’s incredible that people like yourself turned out. It means a huge amount.

This is me at the moment, sat just watching the outpours of standing against the racist pricks and taking a bit of heart that maybe everything isn't so bad.

I'm mixed myself and my kids are going to grow into this world having to deal with some of this stuff. It's a great feeling to know that the majority want them to thrive and succeed here, especially after doubting it heavily just a couple days ago.

I walked through my town the other day and could sense myself wondering what people were thinking of me and if they were one of the ones that wanted anyone of colour out. It's a horrible feeling and one that I haven't had for a long while. Hopefully the complete shutdown of these planned riots allows the country to move on at least a bit.

I think all white people in this country with any moral conscience, should get out if they can. I say this as a white guy that spent the better part of 35 years living in my own lane between the Uk, France, and NZ. Ignorant.

I’m fortunate now to be in a relationship with someone that very pointedly told me a couple of years back : you can’t just be liberal, you have to do it. She made me realise that the simple fact of white people showing up, helps the whole community.

Sadly, our country is shit. A crowd that’s 9,000 non white people, vs 9,000 non white and 500 white, gets policed entirely differently.

I came from a poor, working class white background. Learning that that still represents immense privilege in some ways, to some communities… one of the greatest gifts she’s given me.

“Yeah they say that you're British,
And that lovely patriotism they feed ya',
But in reality,
you have more in common with immigrants,
Than with your leaders”

This dickhead has been trying to stoke up something in Widnes saying a woman warned him that Islamist extremists are going to show up around the local church - even had the church comment on his post saying it is false.

Nice that he’s out in on glasses to seem respectable

Lovely scenes. I nearly cried reading the comments on the go fund page for that bloke in Middlesbrough whose car was burnt to ashes. We need white people as our allies and it's been brilliant watching thousands of lovely, lovely people up and down the country come out and take a stand against this shit. Time and time again this country shows there's way more to be hopeful about than miserable.

Why haven't they named her? She needs to be shamed and publicly held to account for the damage she's caused.
Yeah I'm not sure, given her name is widely known. Hopefully it's for legal reasons and she's utterly fecked.

Seeing the amount of counter protests out today does restore your faith. I do think this might be the end of the riots now with punishments being handed down and the racist thugs seeing that people will mobilise and outnumber them.

She has prior with the shite she's spouted about COVID, Brexit amongst other things. Also supposedly associated with TalkTV.

Ah the TalkTV thing could be it then, they don't want to bring attention to the fact all the Murdoch shite is a big contributor.

This ones even better...

Iconic photo

Sometimes you get great photos and this is one. This notion of two tier policing while 6 far right idiots are protected by them.

And the vast and overwhelming rejection of their small minded racism by the people of Britain.
