England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

The amount of counter protesters that are out in force tonight has actually made me quite emotional.

This country is full of good, decent people, and we won’t let those fascist cnuts win.

Great point by the Grans. Shout them off the streets. No presence on the streets should be tolerated.

This dickhead has been trying to stoke up something in Widnes saying a woman warned him that Islamist extremists are going to show up around the local church - even had the church comment on his post saying it is false.

Well he does seem like a nice, reasonable and believable chap to rely on for accurate information...

Strong counter protest in Newcastle this evening, topped off by this incredible sign

Close to Croydon..not Purley though. feck you and your uneven ground.
Fair comment!! It’s ridiculously hilly here. One bonus is if I have to worry about flooding then 95% of the rest of the county will be underwater……

Me too mate. My parents are immigrants from Kenya, I was born and bred here and I've always felt England is my home. The events from the past few days have been unnerving and quite frankly frightening. I was worried about my kids and their future in this country. I said to my wife, I've had enough and if push comes to shove, I will defend my right to be in this country and fight the EDL gammon heads.

These counter protests are so welcome and like you, I'm sat here with tears. Thank you to the normal folks in England for welcoming us and defending us. Thank you.

Tommy ten names and his band of grifters are still furiously tweeting away with all kinds of misinformation, but it looks like the reporting on the sentencing for the first batch of rioters charged has finally seen some of the nutjobs see sense and stay home.

We received lots of warnings from NHS today including activation of critical event planning, but looks like the expected protests locally haven't happened at all.

feck alls happened tonight in Hull

Edit - other than me scoring a few blinders at 5-a-side, obvs

Sky should have done a soccer Saturday style show across the country so we could properly enjoy these nazi cnuts getting shown up.

Watching this and all the counter protests up and down the country has made me tear up. Makes me have some hope about living in this country after all.

Maybe I’m overthinking this, but I can’t help but wonder where the country goes from here. This feels like a bit of a watershed moment. It feels like the curtain has been pulled back and a lot of people have become open about the fact that they do not like non white people. Sure, it’s not a majority of the country, but it’s clearly not a fringe group of people either. How do we move forward from this?
I don't think anything needs to be done. All of these reactionary outbursts, from Trumpism to the riots in the UK and other examples are nothing more than the death throes of this way of thinking.

It shouldn't, but the Cheadle counter protest is making me giggle. Not the kind of place it ever would have kicked off. Way too middle class.

The counter protests are wonderful to see & gives me hope that the majority of society hasn’t completely lost the plot.

Looks like the thugs are outnumbered everywhere at the moment. If they’re gonna cause trouble they’re gonna have to be out there late into the night and hope the counter-protesters go home soon.

Bet this is boiling Elon Musk’s blood

F*ck’s sake, you’ve got me going now. Pardon my British.

of cause theirs way more counter protesters
were a minority in are own country now

Absolutely incredible scenes of social cohesion in Hackney earlier, and Walthamstow from 7-9pm. The absolute best of London.

A few fascist dickheads got warned off down near Walthamstow tube. They left.

THOUSANDS of people out, closed the main junction and filled the high road. As a white person I was in a 10% minority. People were chanting, blowing bubbles, drinking, chatting with Police, feck all drama.

Highlight : four 15(ish) old lads walking past us, one of them chirping;

“Raaa… they said the ends would come out in solidarity, but I didn’t expect so many white breddas to be out like this”

Appreciate that small cities and large towns don’t have the same ability, but showing up, rather than staying home… it matters enough to go out imo.

Feel like a cnut for saying it, as I’m sure that lots of the country will see violence, bloodshed and burning shit tonight… but this evening reminded me of why I live in East London, and love living here.

The speeches from a Union leader, anti-fascist campaigner, Green Party and labour councillor united the community. People swapped numbers and organised meeting points for Saturdays anti-Reform demo.

Very sorry that many here will have had to hide, and that your communities may feel dangerous, and I’m not ignoring that. But my part of London just gave a massive feck off to those fecks.

(Cue me going to sleep and the drama starting at 10pm)

See the thing is, people are mostly class. They just are. We can get down about the knobs, because every one knob is louder than 100 sound people. But, mostly, people are class.

You really are a bad person, aren't you?

Wumminator bringing class in to it. Quelle surprise.

The counter protestors are a beautiful sight to behold.

My daughter, who is 7, feared going to her friends birthday party today because of all this nonsense.
