True, people can go on and on about this being a minority, and I believe it is, but for something terrible to happen you only need a minority. And then you take a look at social media and see the support these cnuts get, it's always in the back of your mind when you look at a neighbor or just a stranger on the street, is this guy one of them? Must be a terrible feeling.

Sorry - I'm just trying to make light of an awful situation. I genuinely feel for people in her shoes in who have been made to go through this, step out of the house and hope for the best in terms of not encountering these emboldened thugs. I've found myself trying to compensate by being extra nice to others when I'm out and about this week.

The thing is, people talk about this “minority”. And it is a minority of people who hold that view. But it definitely isn’t the several thousand we’ve seen rioting. Those are just a part of the minority who are willing to act this way.
The scary thing is that there’s then a whole load, a significant enough portion, who share very similar ideology but aren’t going to go out and riot. That’s the scary thing.

We live in an incredibly polarised world and country. The truth is I’ve come to realise that those who light the match with their language aren’t just doing it to “win politics” or because they just don’t see the consequence, they do it because at best they don’t care about the consequence or at worst hold those beliefs themselves “in the closet”.
We are on a significant downward spiral, one made worse by the fact that some billionaire several thousand miles away can intervene and reach millions with a few twigs of his fingers in seconds, and it’s incredibly difficult to see a route back.
I know that sounds doom and gloom but genuinely think we are on a very dangerous course.
There was a rumoured protest today around Salford Precinct area. Most of the shops closed around lunch time as a precaution, large police presence but nothing happened.
Might be putting rumour out there so it disrupts businesses.
At source I genuinely think it's a version of divide and conquer more than it's racism. It's more sociopathy than ideological racism I think. History has taught us that most humans are pretty much disposable in the face of benefit of the elite.

Most of the people doing this aren't even protesting, it's the same copycat behaviour we saw a couple of years back when that guy (Lee Duggan?) was killed in London. Started off as a protest, but by the time it reached Manchester it was gangs of scallies with an excuse to smash things up and trying to rob trainers from JD Sports.

Election night was a real eye opener for me, seeing the amount of northern and midland constituencies where Reform finished a strong second.
We had local elections over here in Ireland recently and elected a handful of utter scumbags. I hope it was just a protest and doesn't carry on to the general election.
I think those results were pretty obvious given Brexit and how disastrous the Tories had been.

A man has been jailed following disorder in Bolton on Sunday.
James Nelson, 18, from Victoria Road, Horwich, pleaded guilty at Manchester Magistrates' Court to causing criminal damage. He is thought to be the first person to receive a prison sentence in relation to the unrest.

Indeed, but we also don't want to live in a country where a platform/outlet can instigate mob rule by pushing false information, free speech comes with responsibilities, however, none of us really have free speech, there are plenty of laws around that will get you in to legal trouble if you say certain things
