England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

In which case I wonder if they deleted it or had it deleted for them. The former indicates a level of reflection.
The way the posts were worded didn't seem like someone capable of reflection in regards to this topic. Possibly reflecting on their account remaining active.

That’s a lot of lives about to be ruined there, and for what?

The other side of the coin is what can be realistically done with them at this stage? Aren't the courts backed up and there's a lack of prison capacity? I'm glad people have been arrested and I have no doubt that many more will be arrested, as they rightfully should be. I have serious questions about what happens next.

For very little…. not in terms of the law (I’m all for idiots attacking police getting jail time) but in terms of voicing/progressing any meaningful objectives. Not that the vast majority had one, just morons who like violence and looting. Sad really

New "50 ways to leave your lover" lyric there....

"Send her in a wheelie-Bin...Jim!"

Tbf, Scotland is very much stuck in the 80s/90s with its racism.

Good old fashioned anti Irish racism is still common. Have a walk through Glasgow during an Orange Order march.
Isn't that a religious thing rather than out and out racism?

60+ years old women are the worst. Have a pic with their grandkids on Facebook and leave comments about who should be killed and in what way under every post all around.
I suspect a lot have a history of this kind of thing, they were probably involed in the 1981 riots, Brixton, Toxteth and elsewhere as young people, once a cnut always a cnut

"I don't want people from other ethnic backgrounds here. I don't want them here. This is a white community. It always has been, and it always will be."

"But I'm not racist"

That was of the garden gnome racism variety. What affected me more was him witnessing some poor hard working bloke having all he's built razed to the ground and not giving a single shit. That's a man that would happily abet a pogrom and worse.

Exactly. If he lived in the 1940s in Germany he’d join the SS. Absolutely fecking disgusting. Why does he believe that non-white people negatively affect him just by living here? Scumbag.

Yeah that was sickening. You could tell he didn’t even recognise him as another human being.

Horrible isn't it? Absolute melt

Policing football is going to become a lot more difficult in the near future. For some clubs there's a lot of overlap between their fans and these kinds of 'protesters'

The Police are far too tolerant.
My uncle was a policeman… started in Liverpool until he moved to where I lived (met my Mums sister).

He was famous when I started going to pubs…. you mucked about with him/other policeman and you paid for it - Black Maria head first. Not saying that’s the way to police at all but I do think we’re too passive now and it allows people to get some idea that police are useless and to be abused.

Managed to watch 4 mins. That guy has no brain in his head. Nolan is wasting his time
Nice to see the BBC challenging racists and clearly calling them out for what they are. They've taken alot of criticism over this so it should be pointed out when they get it absolutely right as well.

Financial support I assume?

I wonder if that'd something that could addressed, not just with immigrants but British nationals as well (might apply to a lot of those in these riots).

Not sure how it would look or even work, but maybe Financial support shouldn't be offered unless a contribution history through working has been built up. Or maybe capped for a certain period of time. Maybe something like this is already in place. I'm not that educated on this particular matter.

Make it less lucrative for everyone not just immigrants (exceptional circumstances not withstanding).

Financial and other support like housing.

I grew up in one of the areas rioting so I've seen a few of the social media posts being shared by old friends and much of it does centre around that. The two things that seem to have caused the most ire are the government cutting the winter fuel allowance but giving cash allowances to asylum seekers, and allowing forces veterans to go homeless but providing housing for asylum applicants.

I have lived in a few countries around the world and the UK is exceptionally generous when it comes to eligibility and ease of access to public services.

Absolutely, luv me curry and ska music, hate foreigners.

And you would agree that these are incredibly stupid issues to get angry about?

EDIT: to be clear, being angry about reduced fuel allowances and homelessness is fine, linking either of these issues to asylum seekers is the incredibly dumb part....
