England | right wing knuckle draggers on the streets

These stupid cnuts would all be transported back in the Victorian day, if the cavalry charge didn’t kill them.

Only morons riot like this. Same as in 2011, you have to be thick to go out and start smashing up local shops/Lush/Tesco in the name of a cause you can barely articulate.

They’ll need a new prison built just for this lot.

Do they still have prison boats.

We could also allow asylum applicants to legally work and pay tax during their processing, like other countries do.

It's been a few years since I stopped working in the field I had for 30ish years, so could be wrong about now. However apparently the illegal migrants issue was worth about £5 billion pounds to the economy.

I won't pretend I understand how or the nuances.

This is part of the problem. I really don't think that people in the midst of immigration processing receive anything but a bare minimum to cover living expenses. But the actual facts are nowhere near as well publicised and publicly available as all the misinformation and lies are.

Perhaps some money should be put aside to run campaigns getting the truth out to the public and start to nip it all in the bud on social media before it turns into a shit show free-for-all on the streets.
Good idea that. Misinformation is possibly the biggest culprit in these riots. Educate people on what is actually happening and maybe their anger could be directed to the correct problem.

Financial support I assume?

I wonder if that'd something that could addressed, not just with immigrants but British nationals as well (might apply to a lot of those in these riots).

Not sure how it would look or even work, but maybe Financial support shouldn't be offered unless a contribution history through working has been built up. Or maybe capped for a certain period of time. Maybe something like this is already in place. I'm not that educated on this particular matter.

Make it less lucrative for everyone not just immigrants (exceptional circumstances not withstanding).

This is the current system though, asylum seekers are basically entitled to £40 on a prepay card a week, they are housed in detention centers (or a crappy holiday inn because of the lack of processing).

They are only entitled to benefits if they are granted full asylum.. Even then they are treated like a UK citizen, PIP assessments, have to provide evidence of job searching to qualify etc they also don't jump to the queue for housing either.

As for immigrants here on the a visa, they are not entitled to anything they have to reach settled status or rights to tension. If they reached those whist on a visa as a dependent, then they still won't get anything even if you have indefinite leave you remain. It will take 5 or 10 years to reach settled status depending on the pathway you've reached. The only benefit they will get is treatment on the NHS but they will be paying near a grand a year for the privilege ontop of tax and NI contributions.

You look at France and Germany, both countries take in far more asylum seekers than us but mysteriously can process applications at a far quicker rate. Not too mention they in France they can work, earn and contribute 6 months after their application if it's not yet been processed, in Germany it's 3 months.

Another good idea. I'd imagine the majority are coming here to work and better their lives, they don't to freeload. Let them start and let them contribute and do what they came to do, make a life fo themselves.

They should prosecute the manufacturers of balaclavas.

They're one of those things that I find it hard to believe you can just buy innocently. That, and crowbars. Imagine adding both of them to your Amazon basket and not getting flagged and added to some watchlist somewhere.

Scrolling through tiktok, looks like there's a protest in Plymouth.

Supposed to be going there in a month.

@Frosty Has just touched on that last issue. Wasn't something I and I'd imagine many others are aware off.

There are campaigns and internet sites whose whole purpose is to educate and destroy the myths around asylum and immigration etc.

However they just don't seem to get the publicity and/or able to keep up with, what is where most news seems to come from, Dave and Mohammed on social media.

Edit: doesn't help when public figures, likes of Farage and that police authority woman use the social media rhetoric and legitimise it.

Haha i bought one for a fancy dress new years party.

It’s SO aggressive (and cost a fiver).

Plymouth situation actually one to keep an eye on. There's an anti protest going on to and a line of police sperating the two. They're throwing all sorts at each other.

Christ, it's like talking to a 5 year old child

Tbh I feel a little sorry for this caller, clearly sounds like he has learning difficulties and was hence easy fry for the far-right to radicalise. I suspect he's one of many who fit that category - far easier for proto-Fascists like Farage to fill his head with reductionist poison like coloured people being culpable for his woes in life, than to explain the nuance and underlying reasons for why their livelihoods are in dire straits.

Maybe that's what the left needs to counter this scourge - dumbed down counter-rhetoric. Clearly asking people to adopt critical thinking cannot compete with the dumbed-down talking points of the far right.

Please don't put extra strain on the admin staff at the front desks right now. It wont achieve anything except further use up their time, and they wont be able to give much information. They wont be able to answer strategic questions or provide a detailed explanation, youll just end up frustrating them and yourself. Would be more productive to write to the police chief or MP. Rest of your post is spot on. Just don't let emotions get the better of you.

Fair point, I had got a little worked up last night. I was thinking the same thing as I woke up.

Sorry if this has been posted, I don’t think I’ve seen it in the last few pages. Mr John Honey has been remanded in custody already.

That would of course add fuel to the fire, another excuse for the scum to use, they've taken all our jobs (the ones they won't do themselves)

There's a perfectly good barge down on the south coast, they should take it offshore a couple of miles, if it then sinks so be it

Any other riot/protest in the past: “these thugs are destroying buildings and personally property”

These riots: “Look. These people are just concerned and angry.”

It would be nice for the new government to realise that Putin is determined to wage asymmetric warfare against NATO states, even if we ask him nicely not to do it.

The amount of shite I've seen going on over the past week with Russia's fingerprints all over it... The UK riots, Olympics, Hezbollah/Iran escalation, Wagner in Venezuela, horrific video's of Wagner's brutality in Mali, some of the worse shit I've ever seen. Not to mention the unrelenting bot/troll activity supporting maga and any other scumbag politician on the planet.

It's about time the free world stopped pussyfooting around and acknowledged Russia is at war with us, whether we like it or not. It's current mafia run 'government' is a cancer of the world that urgently needs to be stamped out.

To be fair is it balaclavas? As in the traditional ones with 3 whiles cut out?

It's all snoods and hats that become face masks

Guys, it was a joke! Someone in another thread had the genius idea of prosecuting boat manufacturers to stop immigrants crossing the channel. Just running with that logic.

Three colleagues at work (Middlesbrough) have had to get lifts in today as their cars were smashed in yesterday.

They didn’t seem to take solace in the confirmation that they were smashed up by concerned citizens who were trying to introduce law and order to the streets.

We’ve still got a deal with Rwanda. That would be quite poetic.

This is jarring. No one says any of that. People look back fondly at London 2012 because it was a cool time and people had fun. Not because it was some utopia that didn't exist. Just fake outrage. Enjoying a summer doesn't rely on any of the bollocks he's spouting for his podcasts, he's just being trying to get views.
