They will pretend they’re doing it to protect themselves, but just like the original rioters, they’re simple thugs out looking for violence.
Glad to see many being caught and prosecuted. Whatever justification these goons must feel they have, violence has no place in our society.
Would love to see them locked up in the same cells.
I had to pop down to Plymouth earlier to pick some kitchen equipment up for my new pub and luckily only saw and heard some of the unrest from afar. Two of the staff i was speaking to who worked in the pub I was getting the equipment from said they overheard a conversation a couple of nights ago with a group of lads who they think are involved in the shit going on, and they were talking about messages.in a group chat and how it was all organised from a far right website or app associated with Tommy Robinson. Apparently he and others like him are calling for as much civil unrest, protests and provocation as possible in every city and town in the country. As a was leaving the Police came in and asked for CCTV from the pub as the manager had reported it the night before.

I still don't see the logic in how trashing buildings, looting, attacking police, and getting arrested is supposed to help their cause. How does this make our country better? This is why I am against these 'defensive counter shows' whilst most have good intentions to protect Mosques, businesses etc there will always be some thugs who are just looking for a scrap. To be fair in that video one of the guys was trying to stop the pile on that guy in the pub. Saying that they shouldn't have started fighting in the first place. It's also rediculous they are walking around with a Palestine flag but acting like thugs, way to go to tarnish the movement.

I didn’t get the sense that he was a person with learning difficulties. He just came across as a person who thought he had all the answers but couldn’t really defend his position against the mildest of mild push backs. You could be right though. I’m usually not great at spotting these things. If you’re right, then I do indeed feel sorry for him.

Tbh I'm not qualified to make that assessment, he might well be a perfectly functioning adult (or as much as you'd expect from a smooth brained simpleton if that were the case), but it felt like he wasn't in any way convinced by what he was spouting, just repeating the same points over and over like it was prescribed to him to the point of self-confusion.
I agree with you. It needs to be called out for the hate that it is and be stopped as soon as is possible. The people orchestrating this need to be rounded up and locked away for a long ass time.
