ENG v P'STAN 3rd TEST!

That was n't anything special by Pakistan, english were shit.

Their bowlers have produced a lot better spells over the years.

We would've killed India on that track.

Watch out for some doctored spinning pitches in India.

You could even beat us in England last time around.

So England brought back down to earth.. reality check for them. Good series, i didnt actually watch it. Just kept up to date with scores and saw the odd highlights.

The most surprised people are us Pakistanis about how well Pakistan have performed with the bat.
Before the series started i said this would be a big factor, because we all know Pakistan on their day can be devastating with the ball.. credit to their experienced players, Inzi, Yousuf, Shoaib etc. Kaneria really looks like a class act. Should be a good series when India tour next year..

Commentators around the world are always saying that Pakistan are unbeatable on their day and only one team can beat them: Pakistan. Thankfully Woolmer is stopping that happening too often and he can continue that trend for the foreseeable future. Inshallah. ;)

Our batting is unpredictable. Have been lucky with Bell and Collingwood making runs (I do not rate either). The openers and Vaughan are reliable., KP and Freddie are hit or miss, the keeper is rubbish, same for spinners. Fast bowling attack is fantastic, I think best in the world

You wouldn't be able to get us out on that type of wicket. . . your bowlers are tripe. They need wickets that give assistance.

They certainly will, if you play as shite as you did against Pakistan.

You've got a team of pie chuckers. You're too scared to play on pitches that don't spin.

I see you have already started with your list of excuses.
It would a real struggle for you to avoid the white wash.

No excuses, just facts.

Hardly, we were able to draw the series againt Aussie at their home turf and same at your's as well. We are consistantly getting better as far as playing or bouncy pitches go, you lot though haven't got a clue to play the turning the ball since ages.

One semi decent series. Which is in the past.

Comeback when you win away. And i don't mean in the sub-continent.

Why is the onus on us to win on bouncy pitches and not on you to prove yourself in the subcontinent?

If you really want to " The best team in the world" , you will have to win here.

The ICC should force the countries on the subcontinent to prepare proper test-quality wickets.

The MCC in England should force English counties to produce better bowlers. :smirk:

Without trying to sound like a hindsighted cocky g1t, I have to say I was not all that impressed with Flintoff, Harmison and Hoggard BEFORE they left for Pakistan. Anyone with any objectivity could see England beat Australia in matches they could quite easily have lost. And those on pitches 'doctored' to suit abnormal amounts of swing. Take the swing away and you have a bowling cupboard barer than Old Lady Hubbard's. The only players I was truly worried about (other than the unpredictably collapsing Pakistani batsmen!!!) were Jones (actually a decent bowler without the swing) and Trescothick.

The sense of overconfidence was none more palpable than when the England camp talked about growing moustaches to alleviate boredom! I would have thought some extra hours on the new alien pitches (specially against spin/googlies) would have been more useful to wile away those lazy afternoons? Oh well, live and learn, eh?

I don't think their moustaches stopped growing while they were in the nets.

Bouncy? What about England, WI, NZ, SA? It's about winning everywhere not just on doctored spinning wickets.

And you have won everywhere ?

BTW we beat Pakistan in Pakistan last summer.

Slabbs, we've won in WI, SA, NZ recently haven't we? (and Pakistan in 2001.) Check the records, I'm sure you'll see we've been good away from home, unlike India.

And Pakistan let you win. And it's the sub-continent.

Off the top of my head, I think we lost out in NZ. We were at our lowest ebb at that time. We beat them at home last time.

Off the top of me head, I can recall us beating SA, Pak, WI, Zimb over the past 4 or 5 years.

And we lost the others, and now we've lost in Pak.

Which means we've only won in SA, WI and Zimboland which barely counts.

Thing is, India's not won a tour outside of the subcontinent for nearly 20 years. In that time we've beaten everyone bar Aus is Aus.

Which goes to prove my point. . . they can't win series away from home.

Can only win on doctored spinning pitches.

If we draw in India it's a moral victory for us.

Muppet, you have beaten most of the teams you mentioned on your home turf like us.

You did beat SA away I think, but that's similar to us beating Pakistan as in pitches in SA are familar to you.
The real different pitches for you are in subcontinent which teams like Australia realise, hence they give a lot of importance to winning in India.

Oh and we won in Zimbawe this year and hence broke the 20 year run thingy, although like Slabber said it shouldn't really count.

Actually, that's true.
If we drew against your pile of shite, it will feel like a loss.
