ENG v P'STAN 3rd TEST!

Looking at a report on SSN the pitch looks the most 'English' of the tour so far, but there's no guarantee that it will be like that come Tuesday. With England looking like they might go with four seemers, does anyone know anything about Liam Plunkett?

Apparently he can be lethal on occasions.

i hear from a very reliable source ( ;) ) that Jimmy may be given a shot!

yay or nay?

Yay, only cos he's Lancastrian. Seriously he has been poor last few seasons.

aye, but everyone constantly saying he's poor and not giving him a chance to do owt about it makes no sense. it just adds to his crisis of confidence.

He does get plenty chances at Lanky too prove us wrong to be fair GG...

I'd give Plunkett ago, from what ive heard he can reverse swing the ball.

Sorry GG.

England now 116 for 3. Vaughan,Bell and Trescothick all out.

England at tea 183 for 4 Pietersen brilliantly caught by Kamal

 Should have stuck with my thread...

Flintoff out . @ Those that believe in lucky or unlucky threads.

Evenly poised at the moment...

The pitch is better than i thought yet there is still movement for the bowlers

Most of the English batsmen have made decent scores but nobody has built a big total yet...

And what the feck has happened to Flintoffs batting?

It's a good pitch to bat on. Pakistan have the upperhand at the moment.

It's amazing, all our good batsmen are out and the much slagged off Colly is standing firm and holding us together....

I would agree with you except for the fact that our own batting lineup has been weakened for this final test

Lot depends on the senior players like Inzi and Yousuf

Just about. Hair should've given him his marching orders. Blatant edge. Rivalries aside, it has to be said he's a very poor umpire.

Or batsmen have been poor. Jones was pathetic in particular.

And yet Jones has been good on this tour after all the stick he got before it.

Udal has actually been better than Giles despite it being his first tests.

Freddie has been shite with the bat, biggest disappointment of the tour IMO.

He's been good witht he ball though. Thing is, we should be more than a one man team. Unfair to expect himn to perform with the bat and ball at all times. He's been by far our best bowler.

Yes for sure, but he's still an all rounder and I didn't mean he should do it on his own, but really he's been one of our worst batsmen here.

Yes he is an all-rounder. But as long as he preforms well in one aspect of the game, either bat or ball, it's fine.

But yeah his batting has been poor. It's the way he plays though isn't it? hit or miss.

Some poor shots by England. Good batting by Collingwood, I always said he just needed some confidence. Selectors listened to me re Plunkett. There is something in it for the seamers. Still dont understand how someone whose delivery has been reported is still allowed to bowl.

what is this crcket all about? Everytime I hear about it, England is playing Pakistan, and sometimes South Africa. Is there any other countries? Is it like world cup? Isn't it boring playing the same teams over and over again?

A question, should cricket have a sub to replace an injured batsman/bowler who is out of the the match completely, or would that cause players to fake injuries in the hope of bringing better subs on?

I hope his arm falls off, the fat cnut.

He's a fantastic player. Seems to have got better over the last three or four years. I am sure his stats'd reflect this, the fat cnut.

Fark me how racist and biased are Hair and Koertzen?!?! :wenger:

I was shocked to see Hair not padding up to come in to bat when Harmison was out. Would've given Sami his hattrick too.

Its not been easy playing against 13 on-field players this series, but Pakistan have managed well so far. Let's hope this last test match is as boring a draw as can possibly be managed, though I still feel England have an (undeserving) chance... :nervous:

Hair's class.

He somehow missed Collingwood twice. They were clearly out each time. I agree, he's been very poor and have mentioned it above.

Koertzen hasn't been bad at all I don't think.

No. Even if there was no faking, part of the game is a) trying to knock the batsman's block off; and b) protecting your bowlers by not overworking them.

The second time they used the snickometer thing and when the noise registered it didn't look like it has hit the bat, there was daylight between the bat and ball.

Racist?

Did they say "feck off Paki" or summat?

It was out.

I unfortunately slept through the cricket. How did we manage to bat for so long and not get to 300?
