Emiliano Sala: Rest In Peace

Tossers of the highest order.

Are Nantes still demanding payment from Cardiff?

Hadn't realised the private search had stopped. Does anyone know the specific reason why?

I think they were trying to look for the plane itself.. and then when they found a body I'm assuming they thought Ibbotson shouldn't be far?

That's true, the pilot is still missing. Pray they find him soon.
Could the plane have broken apart in the air? Can't understand how he is still missing when Sala was still in the plane when it crashed.

Presumably Nantes were no longer insured for a player they had sold. Cardiff will have insured him. Anyway, it's a horrible conversation and not one that should be in the public domain.

I'm glad Cardiff gave him a fitting tribute yesterday. Knowing that he earned a good living in France but nothing like a Premier League wage, it's very cruel to see a man lose his life literally days after his hard work had really paid off.

Those Southampton "fans" aren't worth talking about. At least they'd have had a suitably miserable trip home and they'll no doubt get long bans.

Seeing Sala’s name on the Cardiff match programme for what would have been his debut made me feel low. So cruel!

Never been keen on this. Firstly, football clubs are going to last hundreds of years on. Over time, the squad number will unretire.

Also if I was a footballer, I’d want my squad number to live on after me

Southampton were at home so probably not a very long trip home, I doubt that moron in the video would have dared to do that if it was at Cardiff.

Seems like Cardiff are still stalling over payment.

"Of course, if we are contractually obliged to pay them then of course we will. We are an honourable club.

"But if we are not - and there are some anomalies in that - then surely you would expect me as the chairman and guardian of this club's interests to look into that and hold our position. That is what we are doing.

"We are still in the process of gathering information and that process will be ongoing. And when we reach a level where we have enough information, I am sure we will sit down with Nantes and move forward."

"[Nantes] have asked for what they believe is the money due to them and there is a process and they have initiated that process," he added.

"What we are saying is, that we are not in agreement with that process given the extraordinary events that have taken place and the tragic circumstances. We are not making any positive or negative statements.

"We are simply saying, please understand there are a lot of questions which need to be answered and that is what we are trying to do."

And now to top things off, there are photos doing the rounds of Sala’s body. There are sick people out there, absolutely distasteful.

Unreal. How would they have been able to find/take those photos in the first place?

His poor family. :(

I'm going to suggest that Cardiff will come out of this looking like an absolute bunch of....

McKay has told Sky Sports News he feels vilified by the media, and he and his family have faced threats of violence on social media, since the tragedy.

He has likened his part in the plane accident to booking a taxi. While he ordered and paid for the flights, he is adamant he did not own the plane, or have any responsibility for its safety.

He also claims that Cardiff's hierarchy knew all about the flight bookings, and were involved in all the meetings where it was discussed.

Sky Sports News has seen the email from McKay to Cardiff's solicitor, where he points out he wants the meeting to take place in the full gaze of the media, so that what is said can be recorded.

It has also emerged that McKay organised many more flights for Cardiff in the months before Sala's death, including several that took Warnock over to France to monitor transfer targets, and discuss possible deals.

Documents seen by Sky show that McKay first flew a delegation from Cardiff to Nantes on December 5 - Warnock and assistant manager Kevin Blackwell were on board.

Cardiff need to just pay the fecking money. Instead they’re turning this into a pretty horrible spectacle.

It's from the autopsy I think, it's barely a body anymore if it's the image I've seen. Its doing the rounds on Twitter of course.

Why the feck weren’t Cardiff booking their own travel details for their staff anyway? I mean surely they have secretaries

Saw the picture. I'm no pathologist but I doubt a body that's been in the water that long can look that fresh with the blood also looking fresh.

Sick, just sick. How is this even possibile?

The internet will ALWAYS find a way, Blame the days of smart phones and social media but There’s also sites dedicated to death, if a celebrity/famous person dies their body will likely end up online. I’ve too have seen the pic and it’s gruesome there’s not much left of him.
