Elon Musk | Owner of X and right wing man-child

Gary Black, who is a Tesla supporter, gave him an Econ 101 lesson in response.

Elon is still trying to figure out a response.

Goober Kawasaki is one of the biggest morons in the “investing” industry, at par with Cathie Woods and her nonsense.

Anyone else see how his own security detail is being investigated for stalking and that the false flag operation he filmed in order to justify getting rid of elonjet account has all been shown as a hoax?

I’m convinced the reason he’s become a right wing Qanon grift artist is because he’s in some big legal trouble and is trying to get ahead of all this so his cult army of conspiracy cnuts will believe it’s just the deep state taking him down. Hence why he’s now going after the FBI ala Trump.

It's clear the walls are closing in. Reckon he took money from Russia/China had some mental dealings etc. Also the most mental and ridiculous theory is that he is a front for cocaine trafficking across the southern USA border.

This Ian Cheong fella is a massive douchebag, isn't he.

He used to be the editor of a gaming website called Gameranx about a decade ago and he was annoying as feck then too.

Basically one of those people who made his name in gaming clickbait then moved into political clickbait for similar effect.

I love how he makes it sound like a merry bunch consisting of maybe 5 to 10 people. In actuality, wouldn't this just make him the CTO?

Imagine being the CEO who wants to overrule the CTO who is the majority shareholder of the company...I'd do it for the money but it would be a ludicrous job, no way you could actually do anything sensible.

It's like willingly adopting a rabid Rottweiler that even The Dog Whisperer gave up on. And the Rottweiler also posts memes about you if he doesn't get treats and belly rubs every 5 minutes.

He is correct, nobody with brains will take the job where the owner will be technically his subordinate.

I can't be the only who thinks the company was massively overvalued in the first place.
Even if you think EV is the future, there is no justification for valuing Tesla more than those companies combined.

The share price went from something like 20 to 400 in 2 years - it was crazy. It was always coming down. How can a company with revenues of 50bn be valued at a trillion?

Almost literally this entire thread thinks the same, so you're not alone. I think even the holdouts might think so by now.

Particularly when you consider those other companies have more factories, diverse product ranges and greater production scales

Not to mention have now also caught up with EV capabilities meaning that, in fairly short order, will surpass what Tesla can deliver because of the ability to complement technology with their motor experience. Tesla’s USP is going from being the market leading EV to being a leading EV for a much nicher type of customer.

Last year they had a forward PE of over 100. I even think it was way more than that. It's ridiculous.

Woke up this morning, opened up the App and oh boy. Feed, has twice the adds and they are mostly right wing garbage. From antivax shit to election deniers. All promoted tweets.

I mean, isn't incredibly likely he had no clue who she was? He probably gets constantly asked for selfies from Elon stans. Not really fair to expect him to do a background check each and every time.

He's so easy to rip the piss out of - because he's such an obvious twat - what's the point of a "gotcha" like this?

Its possible but I wouldn't say "incredibly likely" that he wouldn't know/ask who everyone is in the most exclusive of exclusive areas at the world cup final. Plus it just fits in with everything he's been doing/saying over the last few months, so...

:lol::lol:

just opened it up to see what my new surprise is and of the first 5 tweets I see 3 actual tweets, an add for a podcast called “Elon Musk vs. the Woke Mind Virus”, and an add for Jesus Christ. Yep.

Nailed to cause conversions!

And now my top 10 tweets include adds for:

1.The Nashville Tea Party
FkD5YZvXEAED_fV
2. An add for a podcast with Steve Bannon
3. A tweet labeled: "Truth Bombs from Elon"

I only follow Dem politicians and left leaning news aggregators, so basically they are pushing this MAGA shit on everyone. Just started today. Also, not a single ad from an actual company.

Where do you draw the line and leave the site? Would you say you are getting close?

I mostly see it on the browser, and adblock works, but only after Elon, some of the ads and sponsored tweets have been getting past adblock. That seems to be the one ppiece of actual engineering he has done.

It doesn't bother me, just amuses me, especially when the likes of Andrew Tate getting hard promoted and then account restricted a few days later. I do wonder if right wing leaning accounts also get more left tweets to balance it out?

I have never sent a tweet in my life and likely won't ever. I use it as a news aggregator most of all and to follow my local politicians to find out when they are having town halls/community events. So I guess I don't really have a breaking point. I just block all the MAGA ad shit and read what I want.

And there’s no amount of MAGA shit that could make you reach that point? After all you seem to understand very well how problematic that is. Or would it take reputable news sources to leave the site for you to follow their example?

I think it would take one of three things:

1. A viable alternative arises
2. Major news sources leave the platform
3. It gets tangibly worse. Right now it is just annoying pro MAGA stuff, but if racist/homophobic shit start entering my feed I'm gone.

I’m in the same boat as WI with incessant RW ads & copious amounts of RWer tweets, but not that much more than before Musk took over (not more tweets, but much more ads). It’s bemusing reading the batshit tweets, sifting through them to get to whom I follow.

It definitely didn't start today, not for some people at least, maybe its a phased project

I use a browser extension that completely blocks everything except tweets from people I follow (purely Ukraine news sources nowadays). Still, in the notifications page I just have stuff from Edward Snowden, Piers Morgan, some fox news host, a talktv host and Gary Lineker :o

Yep, and that is what sucks. For all of its faults Twitter was a great way to stay connected to non mainstream news sources, local reporting, and local events. Musk is killing that and it sucks.
