Gaming Elder Scrolls Online | PS4 Guild on ESO:TU recruiting members (Aldmeri Dominion) - currently at 31

Meh I hated the beta but I'm a sucker for MMO's.....it's £35 at Game and I have around £15 on my store card so for £20 even if I just play through the free month I'll probably get my money's worth. I'll pick it up on Friday and see how it goes.

Well unless you pre-ordered you won't be able to play it until Friday. It's not actually out yet. It's on a three-day headstart for people who pre-ordered, I believe. General release is tomorrow.

Played as a nightblade last night the invis burst dps class, much more fun than sorcerer imo.

My mate played as a dragonknight who has a sick ability to throw a chain out to grab someone, drag them to him and then smash them over the head.

I pre-ordered it on my PC but cancelled as i think i'll wait till June and get it on my PS4, it will be graphically superb and they should build on the feedback from PC to make it a really good game which it has potential to be.

u wot m8? It won't look any better on PS4 than it does on PC. They might have fixed some bugs by then, though...

So is it good now?

I thought Beta was awful and WildStar was far better, so I pre-ordered the latter.

if it's improved though..

I thought the same Cina, I disliked the beta but after being bored shitless in recent weeks Iv just decided to buy ESO today. £35 on Amazon and they have sent me the early access code as well (its out tomorrow anyway).
Installing at the moment, I dont expect to play beyond the free month but lets see how it goes.

On the top graphics on PC it was stunning and i doubt that on PS4 they will be much worse so yes, it will look graphically superb.

Played for a few hours and im enjoying it. I decided to play the Nightblade class and iv reached level 7 before the servers went down for the official launch later tonight.

The class system is quite mad, if I equip a staff it turns me into a warlock type caster, if I equip dual wield weapons im like a rogue (even have stealth), iv also played around with a bow and yeah it switches me to a ranged hunter. Quite impressive.

Currently level 6. Playing as a Wood Elf with a bow/ranged character. Really enjoying it so far, the visuals and the music are really good.

It's averaging 80% on Metacritic, which is bloody good! Is it possible those that wrote it off are mistaken in doing so? I never played the beta, just went with what my friends said (that it wasn't very good)... I'm wondering if they were wrong now. A lot can change between a beta and a release.

That said, Star Wars: the Old Republic has an average score of 85% on Metacritic, and that game was an abomination that started haemorrhaging subs after two months.

Just purchased this. Probably should have held out for the PS4 version so I had a game other than Fifa but there you go. Any of you cnuts played it yet? I'm assuming the gameplay itself is the same as the other Elder Scrolls games? Cba for any of this turn based stuff.

Although, for the record I did enjoy The Old Republic, mainly for the Star Wars factor.

I thought SWTOR was great til you got til 50, after that it was shite. You can't really 'review' an MMO this early.

Sigh, this still hasn't finished downloading. Shit better be good.

Hopefully I can go off on my own and hunt down rabbits with my bow and arrow, because that's all I really wanna do.

Currently lvl 13, damn this game is great at getting you to explore. Iv spent more time just running around looking and collecting random shit than I have questing.

The combat is a bit off imo but it's OK, the quests are fun and the graphics are decent although the animations are also a bit suspect at times. After hating the beta it's a lot better than I thought, there's fooking tons of content even at this low level to justify the box fee, it's going to take hours of gameplay to reach lvl 50. Anybody looking for a new RPG consider getting this for the questing alone, I'm certain you will get hours worth of entertainment out of the free 30 days even if you decide against subbing.

Will the PS4 version have mouse and keyboard support?

They've been talking about how they're trying to implement the touch pad into the PS4 version quite a bit so i wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't, and from what i have read there hasn't been anything said.

Finally got this downloaded. First impressions are that it feels just like an Elder Scrolls game, so that's one box ticked at least. I worried it was going to be more of a robotic MMO sort of game.

So guys, would this be a good starter to MMO's? I've never played one.

I still find the idea of paying £ per month to play a game you've already paid for absurd

I played the Beta and it is a good, solid MMO. The beta had a lot of bugs - as one might expect - but this was right up until the final beta weekend so I hope they have fixed these now for launch.

Regardless, I havent got it yet and am very much undecided. Its a *good* MMO, but when there is such an abundance of Free-to-Play MMOs of similar quality, I cant bring myself to splash out on the upfront cost and monthly fee.

My follow up question is will PS4 users end up on the same servers as PC players? If so, not much point - Mouse and Keyboard will destroy us.

Nope!

Will PS4 servers be split between EU and NA, or will we be on one megaserver? —@TsoriGaming
They will be split. PS4 users will play The Elder Scrolls Online on either the European PS4 megaserver or the North American PS4 megaserver. We’ll share more details about how this will work closer to launch.

Ps4 and Xbone will be on their own respective servers. :)

Excellent, cheers lads. Will be picking this up then I think.

I'd be tempted to get it if I hadn't pre-ordered WildStar. Shame they're charging so much for it, if they did what FFXIV did and made it around 25 quid for a month, I'd definitely give it a go, but 50-60 quid is just nuts.

I got it for £28 with the one month subscription. I don't know where the £50 thing has come from.

£9 a month is pretty steep though.

€50 to buy you gobshite.

Edit: ok that post is misleading to be fair, I meant 'if they made it 25 for the FIRST month'
