How is PVP? As brilliant and mental as it looks?

Entered the PvP zone once at level 10 and yeah its crazy. Im not a big pvp fan tbh but the map was huge (imagine Guild Wars 2 size) and with 3 factions and tons of siege going on it was pretty mad.

For anybody being put off by an MMO and a monthly sub, don't be. Buy the box and play through the first month there's more content here than any single player RPG out there its worth a months play alone. Iv got 19 hours played, im level 15 and still in the first zone.....its going to take me ages to reach the level cap of 50. I haven't even done a group dungeon yet (open dungeons are cool though) and iv done very little crafting (a massive system in itself) and iv played about 30 minutes of PvP the rest has been questing and exploring.

My game kept crashing everytime i approached a siege in pvp during beta. Looked great from what little i saw of it though. Buy a horse before you go pvp cause that map is huge.

What are the quests like? Do they split into the usual:
  • Kill X of Y
  • Collect A of B
  • Kill named Y
  • Collect super shiny B
  • Run over there and speak to Mr Z
Or have they managed to find something more interesting?

Does it feel more like an elder scrolls game or like an MMO? Skyrim is up there with my favourite all time games, but then I've never really liked any MMO games, and I really don't think I can justify paying 15$ a month or however much it is, on top of the original price. And if I only play it for one month, then it's just too much money for that 1 month where I probably won't get through it fully anyway.

The combat is a bit off but its close. I cant even pinpoint whats different about the combat. Its a bit less precise of that makes sense.

When is this on ps4?

Are you all paying monthly fee?

How much?

I dont think im gonna get this

When is this on ps4?

June on Xbone and PS4.

You get a month free with the game. I'll probably pay for another to get me to level 50 and if it's good (sounds like they've built on the BETA very well) i'll keep subscribing.

How much?

On PC there are places selling it for £25-30. On PS4/Xbone it will probably be £40-50 on release.

I can't log in at the moment. Getting the same bug as lot of people where it says my PC isn't authorized for the account and need to enter a code emailed to me similar to the Steam Guard, only no email arrives.

I was planning on buying this on PS4 as well but its a separate subscription to PC...I don't mind paying for the box twice but having 2 subscriptions for the same game just because its on a different platform is ridiculous.

Still loving the questing though, leveling slowly and just enjoying everything I come across.

It's this game going to be a wasteland in a year's time or does it have legs?

Given that the server puts people in phases, rather than a traditional 'realm' style server I doubt there will be SWTOResque lifeless wastelands if you log on in a years time- even if the game bombs.

Ok we have a caf guild called Stop Threating Us For Eva. PM me @SwoopingLion with your caf name if you want in

On the EU server, by the way.

They're fundamentally that obviously, much like every other Elder Scrolls game (or any other game ever really) but the plots and locations and methods are far better than any other MMO. Doesn't ever feel like you're just killing 10 boars for XP.

I've just started in the Shadowfen. The nostalgia hit from Morrowind is, in all honesty, deeply and powerfully arousing.

So, this is actually quite good and not awful?

I wasn't expecting it to be good in all honesty. Though even if it is good I'm not sure I could justify the cost.

How long until its F2P or single purchase do we think?

I fully expected it to be shite, to the point where I was actually a bit pissed off with how much I enjoyed it when I played the beta. It's not shite at all though it's genuinely quite enjoyable. It's far more Elder Scrolls than typical MMO though, pretty much the only aspect similar to your WoW clones is that there's loads of people and there's stuff too hard to solo.

Probably never going to go single purchase. F2P depends on how badly it does but I know most of the devs said they're dead against the idea of f2p.

It's a good one for a first. Completely free of all the over the top number crunching, complicated shit you get in the more traditional MMOs

It's fully out. And I have no idea if you can actually get in to the city yet because of [PLOT] and also because
spoilers
but it's certainly there and you can walk up to the walls and promptly get shot in the back while you oogle it.

don't think its too much of a spoiler given that the devs have talked about it but the imperial city is one of the patches they are working on at the moment, along with Craglorn- the first end game area, and a justice system to be release with the Dark Brotherhood/ Thieves Guild.

It's strongly implied that the Imperial City will a PvE raid zone within the PvP zone like the 'Darkness Falls' area of DOAC

Be interesting to see how it gels with the Emperor mechanic. Be weird to be crowned emperor and not actually be allowed to sit on your thrown because some pug group is raiding all over it.

Didn't realise we had a Caf guild, I'll pm later on for an inv.

I'm currently lvl 19, it's taking me forever to lvl but I'm enjoying it, I don't feel the need to blitz through everything,I'm exploring every each of the map before I decide to move on.

Would be cool if we could get some Caf dungeon runs going!

We should all get into the PVP, the PVP is awesome in this game. I entered it the first time and they were in one of our keeps up on the walls firing spells and arrows down, we pushed them back to one of their castles and had battering rams deployed smashing down the door while trebuchet's battered the keep, as soon as the door went we all zerged in swords blazing and then once we captured it we heard of another keep halfway across the map being attached so about 40 of us all jumped on horses and started crossing the map until halfway there we got ambushed by a party of players up on some high rocks raining arrows down on us and we had another fight in the open.
