Gaming Elder Scrolls Online | PS4 Guild on ESO:TU recruiting members (Aldmeri Dominion) - currently at 31

OK, my tank is ready for that first dungeon. When do you guys wanna run thru again?

Thanks for the items afro :) just seen them now as I wasn't on last night due to waiting for a bounty to expire. Kept logging in and logging out and stealing a bunch of venison which regenerated. I'll send you some later.

I've only just started a new character by the way but it should be ready to do the dungeon tomorrow maybe. Any light armour or restoration staff for level 5s would go down a treat.

In light of what you said, any stuff I no longer need I'm just going to dump in the guild bank. As opposed to trashing them or spamming Brocky with it...

Will help those levelling characters...

I'll do same with stuff I pilfer so I'm not ending up sending you six or seven mails with food in. I'll just send you one message saying I've deposited some food and stuff if you need it etc.

Yea makes sense, I'm on Provisions level 20 something now! If you need anything holla...

I now have the ability to run two simultaneous research jobs on both Woodworking & Clothing and I will have Smithing covered next time I get a skillpoint. That'll speed up the rate at which I can get the traits to make good stuff.

I'm in desperate need of medium armour traits. Everything I have seems to have the 'Sturdy' or 'Well Fitted' traits, which are pretty useless, tbh.

Also, any Resins you come across would be handy. Pitch, Turpen, Mastic & Rosin. These are used for improving items. I have a fairly decent stack of Pitch (white>green) but very few Turpen (green>blue). One unit of each item gives a 20% chance of improvement and you can stack up to five, giving 100% chance - so, needless to say, I am going to need a decent stack of these to make the good stuff.

Same with Tannins (clothing) & Tempers (smithing). These are pretty rare and can really only be found by dismantling high-end stuff.

The problem is; As I am spending lots of time on my Crafter, I am not playing my Archer and (besides not getting him levelled) am not finding the good stuff to dismantle, so I need to rely on you guys.

I'm totally wishing I had trained in Alchemy & Enchanting now, @afrocentricity

Problem is that crafting gets quite fun in any elder scrolls game. I haven't been online much but i'll chip in where i can.
I dunno, it's a means to an end for me. I prefer to be killing things

Spent hours tomb raiding yesterday and found out there are usually quests and skyshards in most of those caves/ruins dotted around. Me and @Damien stumbled across one while questing a few days back...

Edit: urgh, 16gb update...

Another bloody 16gb update???

Looks like I won't be playing tonight as planned then, will have to set it to download overnight as it wrecks my internet to pieces. How annoying

I'm happy to do it, despite it holding back my main character somewhat....although, it's definitely way more complex than the other crafts. Afro is already pumping out decent potions and enchantments, but I am still way back in the 'aquiring the skill' stage, despite spending a fair amount of time on my crafting character.

I am starting to get the feeling that the current players will level up their main characters and find good gear quicker than I can get the skills to craft it. Once I have the skills, though, I will be able to kit out new folks and people's alt's. I will also be able make items to the exact specifications people need, which will be handy. It's definitely going to take time, though.

But yeah, keep the excess gear and materials coming. Also, don't refine raw materials wood, ore etc. yourself. Even if you are doing a bit of crafting for yourself, send me a mail with the raw material attached (state that you want the refined materials back) and let me do it - With my skills, I have a chance to get the improvement materials as well as a better yield on the refined materials - and I can send you the refined stuff back.

Its the stupid way Sony handle their updates. Instead of pushing just a 500mb file, it adds it onto the end of the original update and have to download it all again. Pain in the arse as I can't see myself being on tonight either.

In brighter news I've bought myself a horse... sadly I can't mount it on Remote Play and looking at the patch notes it seems they haven't fixed that :/

Liking ESO so far but this is the second time in a week I'm not gonna be able to play it because of the damn updates.

Crazy

I'm sure you've tried.... how's your healer coming along?
Went on earlier today but my bounty still hadn't expired. I did manage to creep around a bit though and do some quests without getting caught. Now up to level 8 but the update has prevented me from going further. After a couple of hours the estimated download time has gone from 7 hours to 10 :/

Pause and unpause your downloads if you get stuck with increasing download speeds, trust me it works. Mine went from 13+ hours to 90 mins. Half way now....

If it goes back up I'll do the pause trick again...

If it's possible, move your PS4 to the router, plug in with Ethernet and restart. You should see the speed rise quite dramatically.

I called home and had mine turned on, so it should be done by the time I get home, hopefully.

Can't do that unfortunately

Never does with me. Just did it and it went up to 51 hours. Keep pausing and unpausing and it won't budge from that now...

You have to keep at it, I just had to do it like 50 times (slight exaggeration)...

Problem is on their end not yours...

Did you get the altmer styles I sent you?

Ah nice one, gone from 60+ to 2hrs.

I usually change the DNS but thinking about it maybe it's always been the pausing and resuming the download all along.

Keep an eye on it. Mine slowed down again and I had to pause/unpause a bunch more times to get it to kick up again. Down to 11 minutes now.

You looking to join the guild, Smores? Add me - Brocky36 - I'll send you an invite once I get in.

@Damien @afrocentricity @freshibal - I've just been watching a stream of a group of 5-6 guys PvP-ing. They were at an enemy keep, using stealthy guerrilla style tactics to ambush 1-3 man groups and then when bigger groups came out they back off a little, go dark and then pick off anything that strayed away from the pack. It looked like great fun. We're a way off that yet, but I'm thinking that's the kinda stuff we should do once we hit Cyrrodil.

Sounds good and definitely the way to go. Best to stay close, all stealthy outnumbering the opposition as you can take them down quicker. No idea exactly how PvP works but I assume its similar to PvE in that everyone has a health bar and attacks take a certain amount off. Is it closer to Iron Banner in that there isn't a damage/health cap or is there?

It's not PvP in that sense. MMO PvP is open world free-flowing combat, not on closed, set maps. You basically fight for territory constantly.
