It was a shambolic summer, I'm sure the usual super mega positive posters will disagree, but I'm not sure how, cause it was, in every fecking way imaginable. Let's see if he redeems himself a bit today.

I've never got to use the word omnishambles before.

It right proper has been though.

I miss Gill. feck sake, never thought I was going to say this. Gill was the ultimate anti-muppet and then he was replaced by the guy who said we can spend 70m on a single player. Now I am almost sure that the player he mentioned was Messi.

Seriously we knew our weaknesses from the beginning and we should have done better. Be it to sign Fellaini 2 months ago for the same money we are going to sign today (still think this will happen) or not to waste a month or so on Fabregas which was a big NO from the beginning, or to actually offer the amount a club (Bilbao) wants for a player we want.

We have acted like Arsnenal on recent years. And we have always laughed at them. Not that I care if other laugh at us, but I just can't see Moyes doing as well as Fergie with this dysfunctional midfield.

Let me start:

we got private encouragement from Fabregas
we have a squad that won Premiership by a fecking country mile
Jones, Rooney and Giggs can do job in midfield

I hope I am right by Woody is a right masochistic bastard; probably had all his deals wrapped up in June 2013 but is just string us along.

You naughty little fecker Woody! You got us!:nono:

I've decided not to judge hum until 11pm tonight, also we will get an indication tomorrow on what deals we were involved with and how they were conducted.

About 11 hours of the transfer to go and it's been reported that Eddy is just getting out of bed.

I don't think most of us would be as disappointed of the man if:

1) Him and Moyes didn't come out and say "we are interested in signing the best players" and bringing in none

2)Making ridiculously low bids for players who are either worth more than that or are unavailable

3) Coming out and saying "oh,we may not be making any new signings after all, be prepared for that" when after the evidence of the last two games, we clearly do.

Fine, it is his first year of being CEO of Manchester United. But he has been watching Gill for years and how has done it, and he certainly shouldn't act like he is walking into Harrods, going to their finest piece of jewellery and asking to pay a couple hundred quid for it, when he fully well knows it's worth much, much more than that!

bet he can't believe his luck. sat in his office, shoes off, spinning around in his chair.

"weeeeeeeeeeeee"

Knowing him, he'll probably will spin off and hit his forehead against a phone or fax machine; breaks them instead of using them..

So that's £100m in the bank and Ryan Giggs' contract extension printed up.

Woody is succeeding at life.

CAN WE CHANGE THE HEADING FOR ED WOODWARD TO HEADLESS CHICKEN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE..

I am sure after 11pm there will be "Woodward out" posts everywhere. It wouldn't surprise me if some banners appear in the crowd at the Palace game.

What if he has a phobia of spending money....or most probable we don't have any money to spend.

That's the thing, you don't! Nobody knows what his daily schedule has been, how he's conducted business or even if it's his fault that our bids haven't been accepted. Really baffles me that you've all taken out the pitch forks on somebody you really don't know! You really think that if Gill was here and Moyes said he wanted Fabregas, he would of changed Cesc's mind!? No, we tried & he didn't want to come - really not Ed's fault. Just grow up the lot of you and stop using him as a scapegoat - the attitude of some United fans these days is just somewhat bewildering!

Ok Dad!

So Ed is not at fault for this transfer business? Ok Jack....

Let's not forget Fletcher to come back. It will be like a new signing. Might be able to tempt Scholes back as well.

One of his primary jobs is bringing in players that the manager (et al) has identified. If he doesn't manage to do that then he's failed. Simple.

City failed to strengthen a title winning side which is why we won the league by a huge margin, If we fail to sign anyone today then we are making the same mistake City made 12 months ago.

The obvious proof of incompetence is failing to sign an apparent target in Fellaini for his release clause when the club is now haggling over a price with an Everton side knowing we're desperate. Amateurish stuff, this summer has been a disaster and we won't have the team to compete on all fronts unfortunately.

rather than wasting weeks and obviously useless bids on the likes of fabregas, would it not have made more sense to see if he's interested in a move first? we didn't get anywhere near fecking signing him. now it seems as if the herrera deal's off over £5m. what was the other bid, £10m for de rossi? for feck sake.

who else is to blame? moyes isn't, he states the players he wants, woowar's job is to get them signed. instead, he's chucking laughable bids about in the hope of pulling off a van persie type transfer.

You should support a club that matches the high standards you set. One thing, before you ditch us, you should get better sources than the print media.

How about getting someone like De Rossi in January when Roma is go longer a title contender IF he wants to move after all...

Yeah only thing is the greatest manager ever was in charge of that squad and he's gone. Any other manager with that squad could have ended up fourth.

Let me start:

we got private encouragement from Fabregas a deal we proceeded to feck up anyways.
we have a squad that won Premiership by a fecking country mile under SAF. We then proceeded to not improve at all while everyone around us did.
Jones, Rooney and Giggs can do job in midfield like feck them can.
