Of course not. The paperwork isn't even done yet. Also, he will need a few weeks to get up to match fitness. Maybe a month? Can he make the bench today against Spurs?

I do think £120m in today’s climate is a lot, I am not opposed to bringing someone else in for less money if they are good enough quality, names like Ocampos, Sarr and Bale were mentioned I think they would be okay but ultimately Sancho would be the obvious solution.I don’t think he’s ready to be a striker and wouldn’t want to put that pressure on him, I like him on the wing but also think he needs cover there too, it doesn’t have to necessarily be a £120m signing right now and the lack of that signing is affecting people’s mood regarding other signings imo

I think the frustration with the Sancho transfer is clouding people’s judgement on this deal. Cavani, if he can’t stay fit, can still be good for us and if we land Sancho he can be very good with genuine quality coming through the middle and wide. Also the other forward can learn a lot from him.
You should know better. Cavani is the sort of busted flush signing that Chelsea have specialised in when it comes to centre forwards.
No you said it was done this way to save 1.7M, which makes no sense.
I think we both agree he’d be a great signing but not the be all and end all. I’d love nothing More than Greenwood making that wing his own for a good few years and having cover for him. Rather than him being cover for a winger/strikerI do think £120m in today’s climate is a lot, I am not opposed to bringing someone else in for less money if they are good enough quality, names like Ocampos, Sarr and Bale were mentioned I think they would be okay but ultimately Sancho would be the obvious solution.

I don’t think getting Cavani affects Sanches wages, everything reported (believe it or not) suggests it’s the fee that’s the issue. We can't afford wages for both Sancho AND Cavani.
It is either/or. Not both.
I'd love to be wrong, but I will be proved right in 36 hours.

Building a team for the future and not short term success.
If we're not getting Sancho we should use the money to buy a cannon and fecking stick Rojo in there. We also have 27 players to squeeze into a 25 man squad. Offloading players is getting to be a real problem.
You having a stroke?Huigiun rings a bell
Can't remember a signing I've been less excited about. Including Ighalo.
It’s great when oppo fans can be more pragmatic than our own fans.It seems do know better as I've been through it all!
If Cavani flops it'll be a Pizarro equivalent, not a Torres or Sheva equivalent. Nobody will really give a shit because he cost nothing, is not on crazy wages and won't be stinking up the place for years.
Attack is the best form of defence
And all great football teams are built from the back
Depends how poorly your defence is playing, the great Liverpool had to upgrade theirs before they could really challenge on a sustained basis.
I agree with this. Our goals conceded didn't actually reduce when we signed defenders but when we brought in Fernandes. The better the attack, the less time it will be in your half.
Attack first, defence second. Besides, I'd prefer to watch a team that scores loads of goals and leaks goals than one that does the opposite.

He'd get injured trying to get in mate.
After the successful launch of Rojo, we should also pop Jones in there.

Oppo fans want us to fail.
In the run-up to sacking Moyes, oppo fans were all saying that we should keep Moyes around for as long as posible. "He needs more time".
He's actually still playing isn't heFeck me, Pizarro was on £150k a week? Cool, I stand corrected.
Huigiun rings a bell
But it would be quite a statement from him
On the plane now, arriving at 2.30pm signing at 3pm, quickly get into the gear, and playing at 4.30pm, no problem at all.
Come on. Let's be fair to the players. It's not like they are running about kicking up a stink about the club. As long as they are our player and they give their best for us, even if it is not good enough for us, I'd at least afford them a bit of kindness and respect. If we're not getting Sancho we should use the money to buy a cannon and fecking stick Rojo in there.

I'm glad you're getting onboard instead of being a big moappetI'm honestly not certain that Cavani will be seen as a pure bench player, like Ighalo was. I'm already reading what kind of a beast Cavani was and how he can lead the attack for the club.
Remember when literally everyone though we were getting Sanchez to play as a RW, alongside Martial/Rashford and Lukaku? What if Cavani benches someone and it again creates tension within the squad? I hope his potential role is explained to him in detail so he doesn't come with the expectations of being a starter.

When does Rojo do that? He doesn't fecking play anymore.Come on. Let's be fair to the players. It's not like they are running about kicking up a stink about the club. But for sure. We have too many players and we are staring at the prospect of letting players go on a free unless Ed/Matt do something about it.
Yeah, both Martial and Cavani have to be satisfied with being rotated. Otherwise it becomes an internal problem for the club. There will be more than enough games for both Martial and Cavani to feature a lot. Especially given how tightly packed the schedule is this year.

He's out of the first team. That is the coach's decision, isn't it?When does Rojo do that? He doesn't fecking play anymore.
They're both professionals, it's not a spaghettini western. Both will get their fair share.Yeah, both Martial and Cavani have to be satisfied with being rotated. Otherwise it becomes an internal problem for the club.
