10 million was the agent fee. The rumour is around 200k per week for Cavani personal terms.
Think the 200k is just the media having a laugh, we can't be that stupid.

How do you know he isn’t one of Ole’s targets?
What in the world are you even talking about here??Here's a big fat £300k+ a week sticking plaster to hoodwink at least some of the dumber fans into thinking we're not sinking faster than the titanic.
Can't believe we started out in the position of "just finished third, make 3 or 4 astute signings to improve the first eleven and push for the top 2" ... to "finished third, ignore all the positions we desperately need to strengthen. sign a 33 year old galactico has-been in a last second desperation bid to claw onto the top four"
But yeah, he is three times the player Ighalo is. Woop de do.
I think this will be a good signing for us. There are going to be some embarrassing comments to look back on in January
So you agree with me on what is basically my whole problem with this transfer, yet you actually continue to disagree with me? I'm honestly baffled.I agree with this
Looking at our transfer history under Woodward's time as CEO, yes we can be that stupid.Think the 200k is just the media having a laugh, we can't be that stupid.
We need someone on the bench I agree and if Cavani is the only one we can get, fine. I just don't agree that this is a good signing. It's a panic buy and nothing else.
If Cavani was a target and a free agent, then it makes sense we would have moved in earlier and sealed the deal. We wouldn't let him be available for so long in the window and go for him on the last day.
Now if your argument is "no one knows for real", then that's pointless. Almost all posts are made on certain assumptions and rumours and stuff we read on news. No one really knows any "reality" about pretty much anything here.
Saves me watching him for the next year to see how he does, thanksi'm sorry it's so cryptic for you.
He's so unfit as he joins MUFC that even his national coach cannot take him to a qualifier. As he joins MUFC it is reported that his agent will get 10m in fees and wages of around 200k per week. As Cavani is so unfit, we are going to have to spend months or god knows how long conditioning him. Just as he gets fit enough to play, having no impact on our club in the immediate future, he'll likely be fit enough to get a bench spot for Uruguay at some point.
Panic buy in what sense? I think its pretty clear he is a Ighalo replacement who will leave in January. He is of much higher quality so will be used more often as opposed to Ole running the front 3 into the ground rather than fielding Ighalo, who was a panic buy
I can’t be arsed to read that long post it’s too late. Can’t I agree that I would have liked ziyech for the wing but disagree that Cavani is just another Sanchez signing? So you agree with me on what is basically my whole problem with this transfer, yet you actually continue to disagree with me? My problem is not with Cavani, I'd love nothing else but for him to be an incredible success. But what is the realistic chance of that happening? If the window ends and it is only him and VDB as new additions, signing Cavani so late definitely looks like trying to save face and hide the failure of not being prepared for multiple different scenarios.
I'll be honest, I've accepted the current situation at Manchester United. Don't believe we can actually challenge in the near future, regardless of the players we buy or even managers we appoint. There seems to be something broken in the whole system of how the club operates. I think Ole can come closer to the likes of Liverpool and City, if backed appropriately, but winning the league would be a miraculous achievement. The club needs to either take the blame for the lack of signings and relieve a lot of pressure from the manager, or look for someone else if they don't believe the current one can further develop the team into a domestic and international challenger.
A summer transfer window consisting of VDB and Cavani means at best we are fighting for top 4. Whereas a majority of the fans expect us to close the gap to Liverpool and City this season. In the end Solskjaer will get blamed if we don't meet the expectations, which at this point are just unrealistic. I honestly didn't seriously care who we would get this year, was checking the news on who we were interested but this is the first time I seriously engage in a conversation about a potential or basically done transfer. But I have this feeling a serious amount of fans had the belief the club would sign Sancho and we would drastically improve from last season's performances, in such a way that we would be reaching our main rivals. If that doesn't happen, the manager will inevitably get crucified, even if it's not entirely his fault. Cavani is just another signing made to distract from the failure of the people responsible in conducting the transfer windows activities and preparations made during the regular season.
Saves me watching him for the next year to see how he does, thanks

I don't really care if you read it, the idea was to express my whole point in more details so I don't have to do it again.I can’t be arsed to read that long post it’s too late. Can’t I agree that I would have liked ziyech for the wing but disagree that Cavani is just another Sanchez signing?
seemingly now here, it’s all or nothing, black or white
Yeah sorry, this was planned for all the months he has been available but we decided until the last day to bring him in, get him fit and gelled with the team. Please...
Ighalo's contract finishes 30 jan 2021, and judging by current form he is not staying. Between Cavani and Ighalo I would pick Cavani all day, good signing for us, at least we upgraded in that department if we end up getting him
The classic Ed signing...
Doesn't fit our style of play? Check
No transfer fee for old guy? Check.
Panic signing? Check
Manager doesn't really want him? Check
Big name that will satisfy the morons? Check
Waste of money but might sell shirts in Asia? Check
It's a full house
So essentially we’ve just upgraded on Ighalo who wasn’t playing anyway. You can see why people are losing their shit then? I’m not overstating it, but when we get fecked very hard, don’t surprised.Ighalo's contract finishes 30 jan 2021, and judging by current form he is not staying. I'd like nothing more than the transfer window ending and getting on with the actual football without the distractions of potential new signings. It gets really tiresome to talk about the same things every time. Let's hope Cavani does well as it seems the deal is basically done.
Why bring him in at the start of the window and pay his wages when Ighalo is still here and will be until Jan. By signing a Igahlo replacement at the end window it would have saved around 1.7m. I mean, for all the hate Woodward gets, if we had some of the people on here running the club, I have no doubt we would eventually end up like Leeds of the 00's..
I think some people don't even understand the potential fitness issues. He's had no pre season and has not played a match since the start of March.Yeah sorry, this was planned for all the months he has been available but we decided until the last day to bring him in, get him fit and gelled with the team. Please...
FFS , we would bring him as early as we can in because we are in the business of football and trying to win matches , at least that is the way we used to be.
Can't believe that some people are trying to delude themselves into believing that this is not a last minute panic buy because we are inept in the transfer market.
Not saying he won't turn out to a good move for us , but if does it will certainly have been by accident and not design on foot of good planning by us.
What do you mean? As far as I know they only mentioned he wouldn't be called this time because he hasn't played for a few months... nothing we didn't know.given the national team coaches comments about how poor Cavani is atm in terms of fitness and conditioning, when do you imagine cavani is even good enough for our bench?
What do you mean? As far as I know they only mentioned he wouldn't be called this time because he hasn't played for a few months... nothing we didn't know.
He is a top professional, I doubt there is too much wrong with him besides the lack of competitive football. He will have work to do of course, but he is not on a wheelchair or anything
"You have to remember that it is not just injuries or lack of competitive games, but this pandemic has interrupted his training regimen. He has not trained seriously for a long time. To compete, it is even longer.
When you consider the physical problems that have been a plague on his last years, and no competitive training or matches for many months, it will be a long time to rebuild.
Falcao had just had a serious injury, so not a good comparison. Ibra is the better comparison.Falcao all over again.

Some of you really need to get a grip, Christ
You can make that point without pulling numbers out of thin air to sensationalize thingsI think he's spot on. We're never getting back to the top with these leeches at the club. Ed needs to go, desperately.
Zlatan score 38 goals in Ligue 1 before leaving PSG for us. Zlatan didn't have niggling or serious injuries either. Not even Alexis Sanchez is comparison to this case.Falcao had just had a serious injury, so not a good comparison. Ibra is the better comparison.
do you know where that quote comes from?not my words mate.
Being on the sidelines with Covid and all for half a year is not the same as recovering from a serious injury. Recovering fitness may take him a couple of weeks, and then Ole will start using him to get him match fit. I’m sure he wants to be fully part of the team by the time we play PSG.how long had ibra been sitting on his couch before joining us?
You can make that point without pulling numbers out of thin air to sensationalize things
The reaction to such a low risk signing for us has been incredible, like all the frustration over not getting in every other target is being aimed at this deal when the window has yet to close officially yet.
