When there is no Liga they have to fill the newspapers with something, and it would be more credible if it were published a bit later, in late April or in May.
In any case, if they insist on it perhaps it is for something.
They have given more coverage to Hazard in a week than to Pogba last summer.
In addition, It´s the possibility that Chelsea really are interested in Morata and James. These transfers swapping players never happen but it could be a possibility that makes things easier.

Of course. I remember how certain they were that Mata was going to Spurs or Arsenal, never once mentioning United (I don't even think those two clubs made any offers to Chelsea). Oh and how certain they've been for the past 2 years (and eventually this summer as well) that United are about to make a record breaking transfer bid for Bale. And how Chelsea had beaten Barca to the signing of Otamendi. I can go on and on. If you put out 500 BS transfer rumours, at least a few of them are bound to stick. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I do however think Conte is interested in signing Morate (NOT Rodriguez). Whether it'll happen or not is another issue. Conte seems to hate ridiculous transfer fees and has spoken about it. I doubt he'd willing to pay the ridiculous 70m+ Madrid are asking for Morata. Especially when we can get Lukaku for less (or at most 70m).

I think Madrid will be facing a dilemma similar to the Pogba one last year. Is the player really worth 100m? Is he better than the current options they have? It's either Ronaldo or Benzema who'll have to make way for Hazard. He is not even that young to play a bench role for a season. I don't think he can play in midfield like Di Maria as well. Mostly, Benzema will have to make way for Hazard with Ronaldo playing the striker role. Is Ronaldo ready to make that move in a 433 formation? Will be interesting to see what happens in the summer.

I dont think This will happen. Even being a united fan i don't want this to happen. Chelsea are on a good project and its time for English teams to put up a real fight in the ucl from next year and put up a real fight in the transfer market in terms of the best players, Chelsea should put an insane price tag on him to make him out of Madrid's reach something like 150 m pounds. Real madrid are looking for a team who can buy their cast out James rodriguez and recoup them with the money they spent on him or replace him with another player and Epl teams must stay away from him as his attitude and talent aint that good enough. He is another Dimaria and Ozil.

Also When we beat them next year I dont want a weakened Chelsea team. Our Rivalry in the league is getting exiting with mourinho and conte.

Exactly When Negotiations dont go Madrid's way they start all sort of tricks and try to unsettle the player and Convince him to Push for a Move, That's Madrid.

Cheaper than Mbappe but not cheap overall.
If Hazard wants to leave then it becomes Madrid negotiating with Chelsea for an acceptable fee, Mbappe seems to be in the open market so they have United, City in play that will drive up the price.
Only way Monaco agree to sell is for a ridiculous price, the Madrid tactic of turning his head and going for the lower price won't work in this scenario imo.
