You are calling every one silly and yet it is you who is supporting an incompetent CEO who doesn't how to run a football club. What's even more silly is when you put all the blame on manager and act as if the club starts and ends with the manager. If I am CEO of a company and I keep on sacking manager because the company is not doing well then surely something is wrong with my working. It's Woodward's job to make sure club has a proper structure so that he can plan for the future.
And if his job is to just hire football manager then he has not done a good job considering all the managers he have appointed till now has failed. ANd the way this summer is panning out even Ole will fail. ANd you will still be here defending this clueless individual who is doing nothing but ruin this club. The Ribalta thing was weird and we will probably never now the truth of what really happened. Ribalta was never head of scouting though, he was hierarchially under both Jim Lawlor and Marcel Bout. He kind of came in from the side.
Its pretty well documented that Mourinho did not get a long with the established scouting network at United and wanted to establish his own control over it or just bypass it. This might have been part of that.
Its too bad that we will never know what happened there for sure, it would probably shine a lot of light at Mourinhos time at the club.
And as for other clubs let us look at other top 6 clubs
Arsenal fans have criticised their board more than us, even though we are a bigger club than them
Chelsea fans have criticized their director Mariana Granovskaia time and time again
Spurs fans have been critical of levy for penny pinching and their expectation are far less than Manchester United so their fans won't be too displeased of how they have done
Liverpool under the new ownership have been much better run with proper planning and are in a better position than us in comparison to 2013
City are run amazingly well and they have proper footballing men in charge to take footballing decisions and are far ahead than us.
So yes we are one of the worst run top clubs so Woodward should take a lot of

Think its fairly common knowledge and not really much to it in that he was offered a better job at Zenit as a Sporting Director. It's a step up if you will so why not?
His official role was "chief scout" so if that doesn't mean head of scouting I stand corrected. It does give the impression of a senior role within the department hence I believe that was the case?
As you say, Jose has a history of not playing well with others so last summer wasn't a surprise for me.
Arsenal have never singled out their CEO - Venkatesham. I'd actually never heard of his name until having discussions on here even that's how under the radar he is.
Chelsea's CEO is Guy Laurence. not Granovskaia. She is a director on the board.
Liverpool's is Peter Moore. Barely heard of him again until recently.
City is Soriano - Largely know him due to the recent docs on amazon prime.

Out of all of them the most notable in recent years was the latter, Levy. You mention his penny pinching but that has also been to their benefit quite often.

Very good points sand sums up what I've been thinking about Woody. I agree that he needs removing fast but as long as he keeps on making the Glazer's money which he is very good at, although crap at spending wisely and I fear he is going to be here for a long time as are they as well, especially with the new American TV deal coming in a few years. They are looking forward to their large slice of that pie and a bit more greedy feckers.

I think if someone wants to buy a club, any club not just ours, they should prove they have sufficient money themselves to take over the club and not have to get loans to buy it. They seem to fail to know how to or more likely choose not to invest money wisely into the club. Feck them and Woody. Looking forward to the day when they all feck of preferably soon, although I think that is as unlikely seeing them investing money wisely in the team money mate.

People do not think for one second that Ed is our only problem, the fact the owners of the club refuse to move him on after overseeing such decline, is testament to the much bigger issue we have, but we all know why he is where he is, and all know that he is totally the wrong man to oversee the footballing side of things, but the fact Woodward seemingly has the choice himself if he wants a DOF, and to restructure things, is far from healthy now, he needs telling.
Will removing him cure everything? Not a chance, but it would takeaway the comfort blanket from the Glazers, and hopefully force them into bringing in a proper footballing man to try and sort this mess out, that for now would be enough.

Great to see so much optimism mate. All we can do is hope Woody does something good.
I’m completely on your side but why would the Glazer think their gravy train is going to end? They have just had record turnover for a Premier League club in arguably our worse season since they took over the club.
Until fans start to walk away and make a stand nothing is going to change. I don’t see any desire from the Old Trafford fans to do that. They turn up every week, shout a few songs at the beginning of the match and then go silent watching the tumescent football in front of them. They shouted Moyes name to the bitter end, LVGs then José. They accept the mediocrity. These are the fans that stop the club going anywhere as they turn up no matter what. It’s the same at Arsenal and Newcastle. Until they stop turning up every week the Glazers won’t leave.
I’m past supporting the club anymore, nothing is being done to change our circumstances. That comes from the top being the Glazers and Woodward. Bad decision after the bad decision which ironically costs the club millions whilst they won’t spend money to get transfers done. I will always follow United and watch them on TV but I’ve lost all passion I had for this club last season. There is a constant acceptance of not being the best anymore that has now trickled down to the fan base.
There are so many threads saying can we finish 4th? Finishing 1st should be the only target for Manchester United every single season. It should be achievable with the financial power the club has compared to the rest of the league yet we sit here not being able to sign decent players.

It annoys me that we have all this financial clout yet seem to use it to line the Glazer's pockets rather than investing it wisely to get us back to the top where we belong: challenging for the major honours. Last week, where I work, there were hundreds of kids who were bussed into Manchester all wearing City shirts, bags etc for some kind of training camp and it had been paid for by the club (flights etc too apparently). One day the systemic neglect of the Glazers will manifest in the club being left behind, really far behind, and by that time one can only guess what kind of mess we will be in. They need to go if we want any hope of turning it round

Agree, I also don't have much or any issues with the amount of money the board spent. The way they spend it or waste it is what is the frustrating part.
If anything, we overestimated the value of money and at times looked like we think we can solve everything with it.
