Ed Woodward 2019 - Until all Arctic ice melts edition

#Glazersout is trending on twitter.

Everybody with an account, please retweet. We need to send a message however small it is, that they can't continue to destroy our club like this.

Woodward ain’t going anywhere with the Glazers still at the helm.

He’s making them money and why will they sack him when he’s filling their pockets up with cash?

Money comes first and foremost. The football is the least of their worries.

#Glazersout trending worldwide.. We need to send a message guys. Enough talk, now is time for action.

If it is club related bonuses and CL qualification then yeah. National team caps also would be interesting if it is included, because it would be very tough for AWB to break in the national team apart from odd friendly game.

Was thinking about that the other day, I wouldn't be surprised if he opts to represent DR Congo, or one of the other home nations.

Maybe wishful thinking but it wouldn't surprise me if their exit is nearer than we think, it seems we've tied up a few contracts, have not appointed the promised DOF, have a low maintenance manager, and personally I'm expecting some sort zero net spend this summer, or close anyway.

What a time for them to go that would be, the club teetering on the brink of dropping to mid table, Old Trafford desperate for investment, sponsors starting to think again, and the fans ready to get their pitchforks out, but still they could potentially walk away with £3 billion having milked us for years already, you've almost got to admire them it's been that well executed.

Very good point. However, if that does happen let's hope it is not out of the frying pan into the fire.

He won’t be making money if we start losing. And losing is exactly what will happen if he doesn’t do his job right this window. We are a football club that needs results for revenue.

That right there is music to the Glazers’ ears. Regardless of how the team are doing we will still sell shirts, merchandise, tickets, pies etc etc...

Even when we are losing and underperforming like we have done for the past 6 seasons, Manchester United are always going to make money. It’s one of the biggest iconic sports teams in the world.

Woodward is doing what the Glazers want him to do and that is make them money. They don’t give a monkeys how successful the club is on the park.

Decent work so far, James is an exciting young player and Mata is proven quality. The addition of Garner and Tuanzebe will be like new signings in midfield and defence without having to spend on a transfer fee. Better to wait patiently for the right player to become available at the right price than run around like a headless chicken. In Ed we trust.

Cant tell if this is sarcasm or not.

According to the media this morning, Matt Judge Head of Corporate Development is responsible for negotiations with prospective new signings. ( No comment on who has identified the possible signings ).
Woodward's responsibility is to sign off the deals once agreement has been made.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this tbh, but I recommend watching from the 02:05 - 03:50 mark.

It's up to you if you want to believe the guy are not. I personally do. It is jaw-dropping yet somehow still still believable.

How would Howson know about what happened in a meeting with Judge and Meunier? (if the meeting even happened)

It's bollocks.

Would not suprise me, even though the reliability of this can be questioned.
I do think we are that amateurish in our recruitement and how we approach players and agents.

Then again, its easy to "attach" bad elements to certain people at the club since it fits the narrative.

Why does Howson get so much credibility for inside information? He's just a season ticket holder that has made a youtube channel. You know his income will be generated by the numbers of views and followers he gets? Of course he's going to play up to the United fans just so people watch his videos.

Because he's got plenty of things right and gets fed some info here and there from people like Simon Stone

He's talking about our finances supporting the football side, which is entirely true. He's been club CEO since 2012 and in that time he's over seen:

  • RVP was a then record for a 29 year old in the PL.
  • Mata was a British transfer record.
  • The next summer we broke 2 transfer records - Shaw was a world transfer record for a teenager. ADM was a world transfer record.
  • One year later, he broke the record he set the previous year for Shaw, by then spending a new record on Martial.
  • The following summer we broke the World transfer record...AGAIN for Pogba
  • Fast forward another year, Lukaku is a record transfer between 2 premier league clubs
  • Go to Jan 18 and we again broke salary records and made Sanchez the highest paid player in the league
Delivering none of them? Utter, utter crap. How those players perform on field is not his job, its the managers.

I'm not surprised, cause you've a closed mind and as proven above you are creating narratives that don't exist, blaming a CEO for on field matters when its not his job and imagining quotes that were never made to enforce your ideals.

Far from it, read through any of the Woodward, DoF & compare to the Ole threads... I've seen the same posters on the first 2 threads say its a disgrace that we haven't rushed to appoint someone pre transfer window and travel over to the Ole thread to say the opposite and say its a disgrace we acted impatiently and rushed to appoint him.

The irony of you saying my quote is arrogant, when you haven't a breeze of what Ed's role in the club is.

Disagreement is fine, won't all agree on everything.

It's the creation of things that were never there and blaming a CEO for on field matters and similar stuff that is bizarre. I mean, did we praise Edwards for our wonderful football under Fergie? No, Fergie got the praise but its done a 180 now and now were not winning leagues on field performances are strangely landed at the door of a CEO?!

Anyway last I'll say to you on it, your mind is closed as you've said as much.
This has got to be Ed.

If the rumors about our budget is right, wondering why the hell he did not try Rabiot, Toby, Meunier, Pellegrini.

Julian Brandt £22.5m clause.
Sarabia £15m clause.
And x number of players in Ligue 1.

This is exactly my issue if we can’t get our first targets why aren’t we looking at these players? Dortmund have had a better team than us for years now and they just buy £20-£40m player we could easily afford.

Because the people in charge of recruitement at the club (we really still do not know who is involved and makes which decision) are clueless.

Do you think there's a chance the rumour about a £100m budget could be wrong?

When its been reported that we are only concentrating on one deal at a time then it has to have some truth in the matter.

Don’t understand how an elite club operates like this with only working on one deal at a time? Are we that inept when it comes to negotiating?

I can't stand Howson but I can 100% imagine what he said there being true. We have disastrous people in charge of transfers and we are so badly run in this area it actually makes me sick. It really sucks what these owners have done to our club. Not only does it make you sick of United but football in general and the fact that City and Liverpool are now constantly challenging for the top honors is another hard kick in the nuts. Come the end of next season there might actually be a chance I'll quit watching football as a whole.

Adidas will not be happy they signed up to be kit Supplier’s to the biggest club in the world instead they got also also rans Whose standing in world football is tumbling at an incredible rate .
A club whose star player and marketing focus is hated by at least 50% of his own clubs fans ,the days of people wanting to buy a shirt with Pogba on the back is long gone.
If the kids buy a shirt today what name do they want to pay for ....
Pogba no chance
Lukaku on his way out
Degea . Can’t wait to leave
Lingard .. an embarrassment to himself and the Club
Sanchez... are you joking !
Martial overrated,over paid,over here

Therefore wait to see lots more Rashford shirts next season as he is probably the only player popular with the fans and that will change if he doesn’t break away from that idiot Lingard
Adidas will now be asking serious questions about our way forward and they will want a huge name to sell shirts

if they are stalling on signings without any particular reason ie. 'concentrating on one signing at a time', then something is definitely fishy

Again, media reports which could be either true or false, just because it’s negative doesn’t mean it’s automatically accurate.

well yes it could be true or false. The fact that Manchester United are trying to sign a Crystal Palace player who is keen to move with no other bidders for several weeks now shows things are going at a strange pace if there are no roadblocks
