He’s joining knowing he’ll get plenty of opportunities and if he performs he’ll start. Which is how it should be. Too many at the club know if they are shit for a month they’ll still start the next game because outside of 16 or so players our squad is awful.
Van De Beek, Sancho, Grealish and a CB could be a really good summer.
I think Grealish will happen... with Romero going the other way. Maybe we are not getting Sancho this transfer window... which is why we are getting other areas covered. It may end up being Van De Beek and Grealish this summer with possibly Sancho next summer.

As @Zoo mentioned earlier.. Oriol Domenech who is a superb journo for Barcelona and is well connected to the current Ajax DoF Overmars. Is saying we're close to signing VdB.

We need midfielders who excel on the ball in tight spaces and when pressed, and Donny is another CM who's going to be here for his workrate and odd goal/pass.
I think I would say 'good', but not amazing. He has moments of poor play. He seems like a good lad though, with the right attitude. Could be a good player for the club, as long as we are looking at other deals to upgrade our first XI as I am not sure he does.

Yes agreed. He's intelligent with the timing of his runs, has a good engine and decent technique.
He's really a goalscorer, rather than the guy who pulls the strings from midfield. As you say, a decent option to add to Pogba/Bruno.
If a deal does happen, I think he could dovetail quite nicely with Martial, with the latter dropping off to make space for VDB's runs from midfield.

He would also be a rotation player at any other big club.
6 or 8, depending on how we build the team but I think we do need to add playmaking quality to the team. Our midfield, if we add VDB would have a lot of creativity, flair and attacking threat but we need more players who can dictate play.

Thats all that matters. That fall from Bruno and Pogba cant be as big as it is now.
I cant think of one player we can sign this summer that will be an upgrade on Bruno and Paul.
