Donald Trump - GUILTY!

Someone can find fault of a future prediction & label it 'erroneous' at any time. Obviously time will tell.

You offered your 'J6' opinion as an assessment, I am saying that is incorrect.

Are you from the US?

If you flip a coin and I call "heads" I can't be wrong until it lands. When will see in the coming weeks with new polls if I am wrong about Trumps support but I doubt it. And I made no meaningful statements about J6 other than to offer my opinion that if that didn't change people's minds about Trump this verdict wouldn't either.

Yes I am an American

American politics is mental, trump going to jail and people still can't predict what will happen. Even people in this thread can't come to a consensus, although it doesnt help with Kyonn making all those errors.

And I called 'bullshit' on your J6 opinions. There was no true way to injure Trump politically in '22 other than to stem the anticipated wave. And that happened in spades. And 'threat to democracy' will be quite impactful later this year.

Call whatever you want but you still haven't shown where I have been "consistently erroneous" and that is what we are discussing. I give up it's pretty clear for everyone to see that you're full of shit. Goodnight

Oh well, gave you three examples. Later.

I think a couple of recent posters in here may have been born yesterday. There are still two very serious trials to come. The GOP need to act fast or be compelled to by their base, not trump's. This is as serious as it's got since impeachment. And right after a civil verdict of rape. Don't call yourself a sensible voter if you don't call for another candidate.

Twitter is a gas right now. So many threads and doubling down and upside down flags…. The magas hate it when it doesn’t go their way.
Law & order!! :nervous:

Wonder what his fine will be, cause there is no way he is spending a single day in jail.

There are 3 serious trials to come but none are likely before the election

Watching Michael Cohn ex convict right now. The only cnut, and he is a cnut, to go on and tell it how it is. Crimes are crimes no matter what 187 people at a trump rally tell you.

Trump is only running for President again because winning would keep him out of jail. If he happens to lose in November, there's good chance he will eventually die in prison, assuming he doesn't die of old age before.

That is why the GOP need to act. This is a crisis right now and if conservatives don't think so then that is a sign for everyone else to step up and put an end to this crazy shit.
The next two trials have him on the phone trying to coerce a state official in to fabricating votes. And stealing classified documents that are photographed next to his shitter.
He also said he would arrest and deport anyone of college age for protesting against Isreal. Biden's policy towards the region disgusts me and under different circumstances it would sway my vote but right now the fight is in my front yard. And being old doesn't really cut it right now as a valid reason to stay on the sideline.
It should be Biden who will build on the ashes of maga leaving a fair fight for 2028. Hopefully these old bastards will be out of the picture around then.

If he loses, you wonder if he doesn't just try to flee the country, setting himself up "president in exile" in Russia or something.

Putin would love it, and Trump gets to play the martyr, for his idiot base.

Prison is very unlikely. However, there are lots of amusing possibilities. Apparently having to report regularly to the probation office is a "humbling experience" apparently. I also have an amusing image in my head of him having to do community service, collecting rubbish from the side of the road in an orange jumpsuit.

Correct.

My sense, though, is that this verdict puts to rest the notion that all these trials are made up or will lead to no conviction, particularly given that this was supposed to be the most difficult case to prove. That could play a role in the minds of truly undecided voters, to the extent that they exist. I also wonder how this will impact the voters of Nikki Haley.

This was a trial where the people on the witness stand were mostly former associates of Trump, not Democrats or anything like that.

It's not Biden with his almost completely decayed brain, or even Trump with his deranged Overman fairytales that makes America so fecking scary, no, it's people like Mike Johnson and the prominent political position he is afforded. He's like something from the worst parts of the eighteen hundreds.

The GOP you're thinking of no longer exists, it's now the Trump party, and he's delivered on issues that matter to a lot of conservatives, he stacked the SC, he got Roe v Wade canned, he gave permanant tax cuts to the rich and loosened regulations on all sorts of things

I think any impact will come from older Republican's who are less likely to be MAGA, I don't have any evidence to back this up but I think they are less likely to vote for a convicted felon than say younger people, if that pans out then Florida might end up being a problem for Trump , my wife has relatives who live in The Villages, and they say there's been a lot of rumblings about the abortion stuff there, this might tip them over

Yes, I think this verdict will remove the public perception that Trump is legally untouchable, which will make the next trials very interesting. Its also quite amusing that they got him in the porn star case given the gravity of the other cases. Almost like when they couldn't get Al Capone for murder, but somehow managed to send him to prison for tax evasion.

Ever been to The Villages? Kooky place.

I don’t expect that, but if enough people flip in FL, Trump won’t win the election. I would even argue that if FL ends up being within 3-5 points, Trump will likely lose in the upper Midwest, AZ and GA.

@Raoul It’s amazing that we are talking about a former, and possibly future, president of the United States and Al Capone in the same paragraph. That’s part of the Trump legacy. America now is not the same country as it was 9 years ago.

You can bet your boots if Trump's plane heads to Russia the Ukrainian's will be using their SAMs/F16's to shoot it down, NATO would probably give them the flight plan!

I can't help thinking that now Trump has been found guilty of falsifying business records, and it was established that he scrutinizes everything whether they might start taking a deeper dive in to some of his other business dealings

And this is the type of person the mighty USA has as a candidate for president.
