Music DJ Mixes (CAF members or otherwise)

I know feck all about the house/electric music scene in NYC, to be honest. Just getting into this. Prior to getting into this I was (and still am!) a hip-hop/dancehall junkie.

Electric Zoo is Labor Day weekend, and I'll be in the area anyways, so I'll definitely look at that. A trip to Ibiza is on my bucket list as well.

The one in Ibiza has the best soundsystem I've ever heard.

If you come over this summer give me a shout, I'll be there May-Oct.

Thanks mate. It's for all summer, May-Sept. Only at one of the smaller bars, Viva (funnily enough), but it's won best bar in Ibiza 6 years running and they've just installed Funktion One so looking forward to it

BOTN - Solid mix mate. Second track is deep!!! Reminds me of T-bar in Aldgate, London, when I used to live there.

I currently live in a city with minimal exposure to underground house and techno. It all mainstream cnuts who the crowd want to hear (hardwell, SHM, Afrojack etc.). But, we do have just one little underground club who are able to somehow book very good UK and US based producers (DJs are too expensive :().

Jimpster is coming next weekend. Really looking forward!

Jimpster will be good... heard a lot of good things about his sets, plus his tunes are always interesting even if you don't really like them.

Don't get out to clubs and stuff myself these days... married, kids, work etc, but I still listen to plenty of tunes. Did all that marlarkey 20 years ago. I'm not into a lot of the commercial stuff either and find that as I'm getting older the bpm of my mixes is slowing! Reckon I'll still be playing and listening to house in my 60's though (only 20 years away now :( ). Can't beat it...

I definitely don't go with the trends. If anything what I was playing before was more like what was in 'fashion' in Ibiza. I started playing a bit heavier though, more techy if anything but still keeping it housey. I wanted to stand out so it seemed to work for me. Was also influenced by the nights I was going to regularly like VIVa Warriors and Used + Abused.
