I thought he was great today. He had a really good game. Hope he can put in a few more games like this and play himself back into form.

Definitely. If he plays like that more often, then I am the last one to complain. Wonder if that was him having a really good evening or TAA having a really bad (my suspicion is it is more of the last one) but credit where credit is due. Do this more often!

I think a bit of both. Lets be honest, if you're not having a great time yourself and then you see you are picked up against TAA at fullback you're going to gain a lot of confidence. Even if you dont, its obvious that the best way to deal with him defensively is to force him to be stuck defending at rightback. Make him run back to his own goal and he'll hate it.

Top class today. As much as Trent was bad, I think Dalot's willingness to get forward was the key and if he can do that consistently, he can cause other RBs problems.

Gotta admit, I was worried after he got that early yellow card but today he reminded me of why we all rated him so highly this season. Finally showing some aggression and desire to go forward, one of our better players today

I've given him flak this season, so it's only right that I praise him tonight. Was very good today. What I found interesting is that he and Garnacho were not afraid to cross with their weaker side. I'm glad the team has realized sometimes an early ball that catches the opponent off guard is more important that the perfect cross.

Hugely improved today. Solid defensively, tore up TAA regularly, mixed it up by going down the line plenty and his delivery (to a non-existent striker) was better too.

I've been his biggest critic this season but he stepped up when it mattered most. Today he was excellent defensively and going forward.

To see him actually going on the outside, beating people and getting crosses in...

.. have I dropped into a parallel dimension?

I thought he was decent, but I am not understanding why so many are saying he was brilliant. This has to be the required standard not an exception.

Was great today, would hope he can build on this. Liverpool's midfield was quite attacking and the right side of defence just awful.

Not sure if conditions will always be like this but let's hope.

I think Amorim will switch him to the right wingback once we get a left footed wingback, and he will do well there I believe, certainly much better than non-existent Maz on that side.

Thought he didn't give Salah much of a sniff especially after the early yellow. Defensively was pretty solid.

Offensively he made quite a few good runs and put in quite a few decent early crosses with the left foot which has been missing in recent weeks.

I've felt he's been poor for a while, admittedly not in his favoured position, but was very good today in my opinion.

Yep, people have really poor memory. He may not get a huge amount of assists but he definitely adds to how we can attack from the right. Left back is a priority and Dalot gets a good go at right wing back when that happens.

Played really well today but the problem arises when we try and play more expansive. Today we bypassed the build up from the back and played in a lower block which suits a number of our players. But these tactics were correct against this Liverpool at Anfield and Dalot played very well.

Not a coincidence today's performance came after a week 'off'. He's looked absolutely shattered for absolutely ages now.

Between him and Martinez they've kept Salah relatively quiet, and Dalot's going to haunt Trent's nightmares for ages. He was a key performer for us tonight, I don't think that without his energy and constant runs we get back in that game after that period of Liverpool's dominance in the first half. When he pinned Trent down it suddenly felt like we could do something, not just to try to keep their attacks at bay.

Been dogshit this season but was very good today. Defensively kept Salah quiet and even going forward was much better, at the very least he made an effort to get forward instead of just turning inside for a short pass.

By a million miles his best performance of the season. Possibly the best performance of his United career.

So he can take on defenders on the outside and cross with his left! Why hasn't he done this before?! I hope he continues to do this and doesn't revert back to the check-back-and-pass-inside merchant he's been at LWB!

I know he's only filling a gap until we get a specialised LWB but that's the standard he needs to produce for the rest of the season.

Could be that Amorim's coaching is starting to reap some rewards.

This can't be understated. He's Mr Reliable in terms of fitness but that has come at a cost to his game. I'm sure he's probably getting more familiar with the system now as well.

Amazing what can happen when we have a LWB who actually attacks, fair play to him today, had a great game even with the early yellow card.
