Di Marzio: Barca make bid for Pogba

Some of you are so naive.

He wants out. Let him go, hasn't exactly pulled up any trees for us if we are being honest.

I keep thinking back to Pogba’s motioning ‘too much talk’ much of last season. It was meant for the fans. We have to remember that. He loves this club. That he came back here during a pretty downturn of fortunes says a lot. I wouldn’t imagine he’s so quick to leave. Hardship and frustration maybe but I think he’s matured. Especially after this WC Win

Think you’re being a bit naive here. Pogba would jump at the chance to join Barcelona and he’d probably orchestrate a move and sulk his way through this season to get it.

As for The thread, I think anything less than 180 million should be ignored.

Naive or not I’m giving my player the benefit of the doubt until it’s official.

Agree Absolutely must be an incredible offer. Add a WC winner fee on top.

This 100 %. After Ronaldo left in 2009, I came to the conclusion that foreign players who come to United will always leave at some point in their prime. That's why I am more attached to the players who come through the youth system than players who come via a transfer. Atleast, you know that for most of them, United is the No 1 club on their list. So,if a player of Pogba's quality goes, it makes it easier to deal with it.

And also as they say, nobody is bigger than the club.

@Womp Alvarez Haya is a Manchester-based Spanish correspondent for ElChiringuito and LaSexta, covering Manchester City (He's a City/Pep fan). He's been reliable for City, but I wouldn't trust him with United news.

Complete and utter bull. If Pogba isn't all of a sudden given a move (which he's had weeks to push for), he's going to tell Jose he's not playing and refuse to put his boots on like a 5 year old child? Refusing to play may also be breaking his contract, which he needs to fulfil to be paid. How can people get away with writing this stuff? I'm going to report them to Twitter.

That'll help...

It will actually. Plenty of people get banned (or temporarily suspended) on Twitter. I report people every week for all sorts of things, and the support team at Twitter often looks into them and takes action. Can take a while sometimes, but it happens.

If someone has their account suspended, like the idiot above, they'll think twice about future tweets.

Anyway, witty response. You must be so proud.

Why do you take offense?

Bringing it up doesn't mean that I take offence, it just means that I'm bringing it up because that's what I want to do. You can choose to think someone is offended if you want to.

Would love to hear your views about how to stop awful Twitter accounts spreading fake football news.

I've seen it all.

They'll just make another account, that's how trolling works, man. Seriously chill.

We're not talking about trolls though, are we? We are talking about people who try to build their online following as football experts. They rely on the strength of their personal brand and the quality of their followers. If their account were to be deleted, you can't buy back the same followers again. You need to put in a bit of time and effort to earn them back. If their account is suspended, it's a dent to their reputation amongst people who may have actually thought they spoke some truth. You'd have a point if we were talking about trolls and bots, but we're not.

I'm very chiiled thanks. Enjoying a cappuccino, wearing some new socks and then sun has just come out.

I have stopped paying heed to these non sense stories, the more you react to it the more they are encouraged to write these non sense.

Yes, Pogba's staying, enjoy your coffee and sun... but if you by any chance ban someone's who's public, they'll just re open it as anonymous ITK like Indykaila. They're business trolls who just think big.

It’s safe to say he’s not going anywhere this window because of the time that’s left. Good thing I’ve been busy with work and not following much of the transfer news.

I would say once he’s back in training you’ll see many pictures of him and Mourinho together without any tension. That being said, his agent is a real scum, even Sir Alex hates him.

There is no critique I could credibly make that hasn't been sensationally overdone by united fans already.
It's so sad and true.

We have our own (redcafe) fans calling us a graveyard club and hoping our best players leave because "they deserve better". How can oppo posters out-do such hysteria?

You can't just reopen it with all the same tweets and followers though if it's been banned. You need to start again with a new account, and through both time and money build it back up. To report someone is free and takes 30 seconds. To build up popular accounts takes money and time. Having an account shut down with thousands of followers in a massive kick in the nuts. That's what these people deserve.

Thanks for the well wishes. The coffee is delicious. We need Pogba to have a big season. Can't have him being distracted by Barca over the following month. Even if he is interested in moving at some point, he's still a professional and needs to play to the best of his ability, like Ronaldo did when he knew he was off. I know Jose's tactics sometimes restrict him a little, but he can still put in some big shifts. I hope he does!

Do you guys believe the rumours about him being desperate to leave? Sounds strange.

I don't think he is desperate to move, but I can see his head being turned. I can also see this being a tactic to gain a bigger wage. I can also see this all being complete BS. All are possible in my opinion.

Pogba had a meeting yesterday evening in London with Mino Raiola (not in Manchester). The player told to him that he wants to leave or he won't play for United. The situation is limit and his only desire is to play in Barcelona. The problem is his replacement. @elchiringuitotv

So if we let him leave he'll play for United?

Sounds simple. Cash in on their offer, have him turn out for us. Win win.

Why not? He already left us once, and he has been unhappy for a while. He also gives his soul to shit bag agent like Raiola, so anything can happen.

The club should have stayed away from Raiola. Both SAF and Gill said he was the worst agent ever to deal with for the club.

Ed should have listened to them.

If you think mino is doing this without Pogbas blessing then you are sadly mistaken.

Honestly has to be tripe, these “rumors”. Besides anything else, why would Barcelona leave it to the last day or three before doing this, meaning they’d either have to pay premium plus plus, or more likely get rejected.

Seems poor planning, and theres only one Ed, and we have him.

Pogba won't be ready for our first game due to only returning from hols, but you can bet your money the media will spin it as tensions at an all time low with Pog and Jose.
