Di Marzio: Barca make bid for Pogba

What a bunch of loathsome cnuts. More than a club my a*se.

Let's make an offer involving Darmian for Messi + Dembele.

You think they would have bid for him without getting the go ahead from Mino...who wouldnt do that without clearing it with Pogba first?
Mino , or Barca arent the root of the problem here.

So is Pogba's attitude really that bad and his head turned or is this just another caf rumor based off armchair psychology?

This is why a bit of tasteful rival wumming is so difficult these days. No point dangling bait when you regularly have united fans jumping the shark on it themselves.

The state of you complaining about pessimism of United fans on a United forum because you can't instigate. Try being more creative.

Not remotely worried about him leaving this window and if repeats his World Cup form over a season then he and we will have a great season and then he will push for a higher paying contract.

Who knows, we really don't know his views on this but it seems likely that either he's allowed his agent to do this for a better contracts (as many past players have done sadly) or he does want out. I don't think either point to the best attitude personally.

I'm thinking the former (angling for a fatter contract) but I don't think such an attitude is limited to Pogba since we're seeing this with many other high profile players.

He’s not going anywhere this season. As to all the discussions about next summer, here’s a fun mental exercise:

- January 2nd, my birthday (make a note people) is going to be a record breaking hot winter day in the middle of Norway.
- May 21st, ny gfs birthday, is going to be the coldest day ever recorded for May in Norway, and we will both want steak for dinner.

Impossible to know you say?! Well la di fecking da. Never seen a more pointless debate by a bunch of insecure fans.

Inappropriate Behavior
Most overrated footballer ever.

United should snap the hand off Barcelona if they're offering 100m

Why does Pogba wanting out point to bad attitude?

What are we really going to challenge for this season? We're miles off City and nowhere close to a CL push.

Pogba should be seen as one of Europes best midfield. However, for whatever reason, the way we set up doesn't allow for it.

Barcelona allows him the platform to show himself as one of the best whilst challenging for league titles and the champions league.

United fans get too sentimental with the "Pogba is home" stuff. Its a two way relationship. And it can be seen that Barcelona would better serve Pogba than we would. That's just the reality of it all.

Ofcourse I hope this is all bollocks and Raiola trying to push for a bigger contract for Pogba. But it's naive to think Barcelona would bid as they have without Raiola's okay, who in turn wouldn't act without Pogba's knowledge.

What? You can only get one and half or three-leg Maguire with that money.

It wouldn’t be the worst departure we’ve had, but the main worry is replacing him in time. I hope he stays anyway and proves what he can do.

With the reports that Woodward is actively trying to cling on to Pogba and Martial and refusing offers for them, despite Mourinho seemingly being happy to at least get rid of the latter, does it sort of answer where the club's loyalties lie? I mean, if it was a manager they backed long-term there's no way they'd stop him selling the players he wanted to, regardless of who they are, right?

So we have an oppo fan admitting that he's wumming here. Wonderful.

I am admitting I don't.

A good WUM is just a truthbomb with a slanted angle, restrained enough for people to dig into it. It can't be too sensationalist.

Terrible times for it these days. There is no critique I could credibly make that hasn't been sensationally overdone by united fans already.

IF Barca were to offer Dembele and Mina with cash then thats surely worth looking at as long as we can sign Savic, surely in that scenario the team is absolutely improved!
Dembele will be great but Savic looked poor a the world cup and a player I wouldn't want whether we have Pogba or not.

You're just rambling now.

I very much doubt that Barca have bid/spoken to United about him without encouragement. And I also very much doubt that either he or Raiola genuinely believe they’re going to be able to get the move sorted by the time the English window closes, as United aren’t going to sell without a replacement. That this story is being put out there notwithstanding those factors tells its own story.

So it’s either about money, or a genuine desire to leave, but no one can or should be surprised. He’s literally done this to us before ffs and somehow still managed to have a healthy number of supporters backing him against both SAF and our current manager. I like him and all but let’s have this right, he said the right things when he returned but it wasn’t remotely believable. His agent was onto a good thing with United and made it happen at a price others wouldn’t go to. He’ll be gone in a year or two and I won’t give him a second thought. That’s just modern football.

I don't feckin care who is the root of the problem. Getting the courage from Raiola/Pogba or not. You can't really offer 2 of your cast-offs plus some cash for probably the most expensive midfielder in the world in that crazy market. And we all know that these stingy feckers did the same for every big signing (Suarez, Neymar, Fabregas, Villa, Sanchez, Coutinho etc.) in the last 10 years. Do you remember their players making statements every other day about how Fabregas was a Barca man and trying to unsettle him at Arsenal? Trying to enrobe him a Barca shirt (it was pique i think) in Spain's WC 2010 celebrations when he was captain at Arsenal? It's a tactic they use for nearly every player they want to sign. They are cheap bastards who has no class whatsoever.

And if pogba wants out - which i don't think he does - he must man up and say it rather than playing these stupid games. This is an era where footballers let alone a superstar like him are too powerfull to not get their wishes. I'm sure he will be able to play where he wants in all of his career. He can go to Barca too but definitely not with an abomination of a deal.

It's clearly not a "cafe rumour" as it's being reported by the media.

Yeah I'm not sure I buy the whole thing about " loving the club and this being is home" stuff when he came back. More like a move to a bigger club and league. At the same time he could want to stay at the club.

We'll know the truth of that claim in time. If he wants out he'll go next summer given the paucity of time in this window.

Again, if a player desperately wants a move, he'll get it rather sooner than later.
But it took stupid money to do it and you still kept him when he wanted a move.
Utd can turn down the big money, if we had Coutinho I dont think we sell for the 130m or whatever the fee was, its different clubs thats involved here.
Do Liverpool turn down massive bids for two straight summers if you had Martial as he is now? I honestly don't think so and as the TV deals pile up, the Spanish big two will realise this as well.

Could be argued that Pogba doesnt really get what it truly means to play at such an iconic club like Utd,seems to be full of himself and a me me me attitude of self importance, wouldnt be a surprise if we see a demotivated figure on the pitch next few months dining out on his WC exploits, assuming he stays of course!

Think he will be off next Summer, Can't see us selling at this point though. If we did surely it would only be on the condition that an agreement with Savic is already in place.

Very disappointing but this is what you happens when (a) You don't invest in your team and (b) You get into bed with dodgy agents like Fat Pizza Boy Mino.

If we invested properly in the team this would have not happened.
I dont blame Pogba one bit. He can win titles elsewhere

Was the market drastically different last year when he went for £8m or so?

Nobody will pay £50m for him. Not a chance in hell. The only ones paying idiotic fees are English clubs, unless he goes to Everton he's not going to cost more than £20m. Rebic has just gone to Sevilla for about £15m.

Fair enough mate, my point is, Pogba is worth far more money than what they offered. Ridiculous offer.

I’d imagine Woodward is slightly concerned that two of our most marketable players and fan favourites are at odds with the manager. He hasn’t exactly been a wonderful success, so it wouldn’t surprise me if we aren’t much better this season if Woodward pulls the trigger.
Yeah completely. If Pogba says he won't sign a contract under Mourinho, Mourinho goes.

He's been average at club levels since coming here, and allegedly wants to be the best paid player at the club? Try playing like it then.
Regardless of what happens this window we are going to have this crap every window from his Doughy sleezy agent, fed up with players who don't want to be here.

The highest paid player at the club has been thoroughly mediocre thus far.

Don't blame Pog for wanting wages to match, off the back of a great world cup.

I couldn't care less what he did in the world cup mate, when he plays for us like he does for France he can start to expect a pay rise, if he's going to play like he has for the past few years for us he should count himself lucky to get what he does.
