Gutted guys, we were getting there!.
It's just those minotaurs, but I think if we all stick together and mash them 1 by 1 it shouldn't be a problem.
We need to start damaging the main boss more too, we did all that work and hardly scratched him.
Think we all need the headsets really, or whoever has the relic needs to shout clearly that the shield is being taken down. We only get a small window so full advantage needs to be taken.
Apart from that though the oracles were getting killed well which is half the battle.
Anybody around tomorrow night? Really want to beat this thing.

We'll try again tomorrow, but yeah we had a good plan. I would say we need to take him much quicker though, we need to all fire at him at the same time.
Yeah, I agree. One thing though, if we don't spilt up then we would get marked all the time, we would have no chance. Most importantly we need to damage the boss a lot more, reckon it's all up speed.
Well that was interesting for someone who's new to the vault of glass I'm gonna have to watch those tactics youtube vids if I'm gonna attempt that shit again only thing I knew was to guard one side
Yeah splitting up definitely worked better imo. but whoever has the relic when they get the super shouts Asap so everybody can get a good position.
I don't know if the Minotaur come at set time? Ideally we need him dead before they arrive. Tough ask tho.
I was for the first hour, sorry. And had to go afv at some points too early on while trying to fix the laptop's drive. For the last hour though I was on my PS4 and could hear what you were saying which was good, especially with Sampy(?)'s strategy of splitting into three groups of two. It worked pretty well and I think we had a good strategy going. Main thing now is to make sure everyone is aware of when the shield is about to go down. Not a big window but if we all hit at once it should really bring down the Templar's HP.
The message that the Templar is about to teleport is a decent sign anyway, though by the time you see it (and it doesn't appear all the time either I don't think), the Templar is about to move and have its shield replenished.
Like has been said, the relic holder should either shout or maybe even use the point emote. That is hardly ever used anyway.

This is the main issue for me, hate these pricks...
Everything else we can handle imo... the Relic holder can cut through them like cheese. Do we know where they spawn from?
Seemed like at the back like everything else. On 1 of our first attempts I saw them walking from the back and managed to take a couple out before they got to us, but I think we died from the Oracle's eventually.
It is definitely possible anyway, just need a better set plan and more communication. I have found my headset now too so I can talk also later.
I slaved away on this yesterday. Finally up to 27 and I finally killed Xyor and got Thorn! I hope the talk of Bungie making it better is true because that exotic bounty is a slog!
I have 2 exotic bounties that I'm in no hurry to complete... they look like they'll be clogging up my bounty slots for a while. Which is a pita tbh...
Yeah its known to be the worst, or one of the worst to do.

I finally leveled up all my legendary & exotic gear yesterday, it takes ages. A tip for people looking for Shards - Create two new characters, do a public event each day with them and this may get you two new shards each day to give to your main character.
Do the 28 daily as well, 2 shards or energy each time

A primary fusion rifle which seems to fire like a scout rifle. You can get it if you complete the raid on hard. THey need to tone that down for PvP though it's so unfair

Anyone got Bad Juju yet? I've got about 15 strikes left to do, which is a bit of a pain. It looks brilliant but I've heard it's not great. So far I have both Invective and Super Good Advice.
I haven't quite made my mind up about Invective yet. Its rapid fire ability sounds great, but it only holds four shells per magazine so is pretty useless in that respect. In PvP I find it takes longer to kill people, I used to wreak havoc with my legendary shotgun which killed with one shot, whereas this requires 2 and has huge recoil.
Super Good Advice is just awful. Again, even when upgraded the recoil is huge, the magazine refill when you miss isn't much use and it just isn't as good as my legendary one. It's a bit annoying how you strive for these exotic weapons but once you actually get them they aren't much better than what was available before.

Suros Regime is good, but not great. The trait that makes it fire slower while in ADS/aimed mode actually makes it less dps than if you arent aiming and a bit lacklustre in the damage department.
Then again I havent unlocked the health return yet and thats the biggest reason to get it

Anyway to increase my chances? Right now I'm just farming crucible marks and rep with the New Monarchy since I seem to be getting no luck in PVE. The game's loot systen is pretty feckin stupid too - finish top in a crucible game and everyone gets rewarded with loot except me.

Forget shortcuts, some people get lucky... some faff about and just end up wasting their time. I just saved up the marks and bought the gear like you are supposed to... didn't take me long at all. Farming felt like a waste of time to me...

Yeah, your best bet, is to get your rep to rank 2 with a group, Vanguard/crucible/whoever and use the marks to buy legendary gear. That's what I did for most of my stuff.
What do you mean 'with a group'?
Vanguard, Crucible, Future War Cult, New Monarchy or Dead Orbit... take your pick.

Have you done the queens missions? They were the easiest way to get legendary armour for me IMO.
You just have to get lucky though most the time, nothing you can do will "make" legendary's drop.
Like others have stated though, do lots of strikes and get your vanguard rank 2, then you can buy what armour you please. It does take a while, but worth it eventually.

By Queens Missions do you mean the bounties? I heard the queen was only here temporarily so I fear if I just start now I won't gather enough marks in time to buy her stuff.
No you get legendary gear for completing the missions, no need to buy them...
How do you get exotic bounties?
Luck of the draw. I only got my first one last night despite doing bounties since the start of the game. You have a choice of three to choose from. I looked online for what to do on each one before making my choice! There's a crucible section for each bounty, and there's no chance that I'd have been able to do some of them.
Got a level 25 afk in the Pogoth strike on the last boss. Can report him but cant get rid of him - "hardTOdef". If you get this guy on one of your strikes, probably best to leave before you do any work

Just had a google, so apparently there are missions from the queen that give legendary rewards....that was what those strange items were in my inventory?? I feel like such a mug now

Yep! Think the hitting brick wall at around level 20/21 and 24 happens to most. I know it happened to me too. I didn't have the Queen's missions when it happened to me though so you're pretty lucky. Keep going to orbit until it gives you the Earth mission in the Cosmodrome as there's no chance you'd be able to do the others
I had to choose between 2 for my second exotic bounty... probably varies.
@Kaos One of the best ways for me getting good gear was levelling up my Cryptarch Rank, each time I've levelled up theres been legendary engrams at the postmaster, I was expecting a long haul when I hit 24 but took about a weeks worth of playing to get to 27, the queens missions helped me along here massivley too though. Maybe ive just been incredibly lucky

It could all be bollocks, but apparently in the first DLC there will be, 4-5 missions, 2 strikes (one on earth, one on Mars), 1 raid (on Moon) and 3 crucible maps. I'm disappointed that it doesn't appear that any of these missions will take place on a new planet. If you enjoy doing the raid it could be worth it though.
