PS4: Damien1990UK. Not at PS4 at the moment though it is switched on, or was last time I checked. Left it for a bit while the servers were acting weird.
Yeah I just got the game earlier today, made it to about level 8 I think then started getting DCs and shit, so I told my gf it was her turn
It's fine now Damo. At least for me anyway. Got my arse handed to me in the Summoning Pits strike like 10 times.

Last couple of days are pretty much the first that i dont get dc'd every 5 mins at prime time.
Still get a couple of baboon errors but its infinitely better today and yesterday.

What does the solar / arc etc. damage actually do anyway?
Im guessing it eats through the blue / orange shields faster than others?

Can confirm, the ammo is the last part of invective. Just picked mine up to go with my Plan C for exotic specials.
Also the first part of The Bad Juju down, next up is 25 strikes... Not sure I want to do that tonight
Edit - Oh crap, didnt realise Invective is solar damage. Thats brilliant, solar was my weak spot as I had an exotic and a legendary for arc damage and void damage. But just blues for solar.

Feck me that was tough with just the two of us. Delighted that I helped get you to 21 and tomorrow those Queen's things should help you get to at least 23 when fully upgraded if you do get two different legendary armour.

Shame they reduced the queens mission one, I only ended up with a few shards from it, but at least got a few from it. Will likely still give it a few more shots as I still need legandary legs and arms, and hopefully that will give me them.
Slightly annoying I still have an extra queen's helm sitting unused that I was planning to keep for extra. Should have broken it down for the shrads and just got another one now in hindsight.

Plan C is a fusion rifle. I got it from a legendary engram while I was waiting to finish up the exotic bounty for Invective... And because its a special weapon slot item, suddenly I lost interest in Invective
The main benefit, other than being an arc damage exotic weapon which is handy for arc damage heroics/nightfalls like the Earth Queen's Bounty, is that when you swap weapons to the Plan C you get your first shot off almost immediately. It doesnt require the 2 seconds charge it normally takes to fire, or that fusion rifles in general take to fire. So its good burst damage and good for pvp too. Problem is sometimes I forget and havent aimed properly in time
Yeah each damage type : solar/orange, void/purple, arc/blue corresponds to the same coloured shield. It'll take one off in no time at all. It also does incredible damage on the corresponding missions
Again I'll use Earth/Cosmodrome from the Queen's Wrath mission as an example. Each of the missions has an element modifier, Mars was solar damage, one on Venus was void I think and Earth's is arc lightning. This means that any enemies using arc weapons, like the shanks and the vandals with the blue lazers, they almost one shot you. It hurts it really hurts and you have to be careful with them.
At the same time you and your teammates also do disgusting damage with that element. See a yellow bar enemy who is normally a hassle to take down ? Sniper him with an arc sniper and you can probably one shot him with a headshot. Plan C usually kills the last boss in about 3 shots.
So look out for the icon in the middle of the icons, theres normally like 3. And the middle one is which element is over the top effective
Playing as a hunter - got up to level 15 last night thanks to a strike. Changed my sub class to blademaster - amazing how much I miss not having grenades, the golden gun etc - so looking forward to get more time on this and upgrade!
It was my first ever strike too - loved playing with other players. Also got my first bit of rare armour! Really enjoying this game.

It's a beautiful weapon isn't it, especially devastating in PVP at times, just need to get your positioning correct pretty quickly. Yeah I wouldn't worry too much, i'm level 25 too but I think aslong as your weapons are strong 1 or 2 levels shouldn't make much difference.
Xur is in the hanger underneath the future war cult (right side tower)

Sounds good mate, i'll crack out some more easy Queen's bounties if i don't get the helmet and chest piece from the two missions i have saved up. Might as well get it all sorted whilst i can
We can do it in stages, no way am I spending 2+ hours stuck in a raid... (memories flooding back... [shudders]). I believe as you clear stages you get checkpoints... we'll need to youtube bosses etc... but truth be told. I just wanna see what it's like...

Yeah Vault has checkpoints, best for everyone to be 26 as the lower the level you are the more your damage is reduced on the high level bosses
I got a Legendary ship last night called Chasing Infinity, it looks very nice indeed, fecked if I can find a picture of it anywhere I can access here in work though.
And a ship, as above, as well as a legendary sniper which looks very good. Both seem to be quite rare though.
If people have the coins, try and get the Suros exotic auto rifle from Xur. My mate got it in the crucible and it's ridiculously good.
Im almost rank 1 with the Queen and havent seen anything but heads and body armors, so yeah I think the extras are rare
I'd say 6 of my last 10 Engrams have been Strange Coins. Does anyone else have a conversion like that? Maybe it's because it's nearing the weekend and they want me to spend them.

I like it, its good but id always reccomend getting armour and reaching 26 as the better choice because for every level you are underneath the bosses in the vault of glass, you're losing a lot of damage. Level 25's will find that they are hitting quite weakly.
However if you dont plan on doing the raid in the immediate future then the gun seems like it'll help a lot for soloing and normal content

Yeah that was my thoughts on levelling up, I want to start doing more strikes (and possibly the vault of glass if a striketeam is formed for it), I'll take a look at his Warlock armour then & make that my priority for now. As I say, I already have a legendary auto rifle and a Plan C so I'm not lacking in fire power just yet.
Also reading on reddit that someone wanted the warlock helm, but didnt have enough. So he got the engram with his motes and the cryptarch gave him the same headpiece.
However it had different stats. 16 less discipline or something.

At first I was like, "oh shit my warlock has a cool freaky looking hel... wait a minute. Whats with that black middle bit and red lines crap. Oh well, maybe it'll look better with a face in there"Edit - Now I preview it and it doesnt show the face. But my version has like a copper colour and design instead of the red thing, not quite so bad but still black instead of face. Not the best
Yeah stats go up as you upgrade. There is a plus minus variance on all equipment as far as I know. Bungies attempt at diversity, far from Borderlands levels but then I don't think you need 'a bajillion guns!'
It is such a shame for the red lines in the middle, if it had just been left as a black visor it would of looked much better & creepier.I just realised I had Voidfang Vestments on my Warlock already. So at level 9, I already dont know which exotic to use
