I watched a lot of it on twitch yesterday and. I have to say I'm also a bit disappointed, mainly because there doesn't seem to be a lot of content in endgame yet.

It's also a problem that the game got hyped so much that in the end it was never going to fulfill peoples expectations. I still am going to play it, if it ever comes to the PC that is.
 
My biggest issue was content and thats why I didn't pre-order it and now from user feedback and reviews its looking like a good decision.

Really looks like a game they want to sell you three times over with DLC before you get the full experience.
 
I hadn't heard anything about this when I bought it so I'm loving it. No worry for me about being disappointed by hype. Also couldn't give a feck about the story, it's the multiplayer element that I'm enjoying.
 
Looks like this is new business model for AAA games. Release a game which requires the additional purchase of dlc to see the full game. Equates to games costing closer to 100.

Personally think this game looks extremely dull. Very pretty but with no substance.

It'll sell regardless as it's the first real next gen blockbuster. It just wasn't enough for me to take the plunge into next gen.

I'm hoping we see better games come out over the next year because as it stands there is no reason to buy a new console IMO.

I tried one of those level 20 random strikes, it chose to give us the summoning pits and right before we faced Phogoth, one of the other two decided to leave :mad:

We tried to do it with just the two of us (both right on level 20) but was pretty much impossible. Damn those stupid shrieker things. In the end I quit after we spent almost an hour trying to kill him, getting him right down then both of us died.

I've made it to what I assume is the last mission on Mars.

Those two statues in the heart of the black garden. Took ages to beat one, then I found the second one came to life. I thought that because Ghost spoke after the first statue was killed, that that would be the checkpoint but nope... I died and had to go back to killing the first again. Pissed me off.

So as a result I've still not done it. If anyone can help with the bit in spoilers later it'd be great thanks.
 
Are you doing it on heroic Damo? I've only done the standard so far but it was easy enough. Just hide behind the pillars and pick them off.

That's what I did do but I think when doing the second one I didn't go back to the hiding place I used for the first and went to a different place which didn't offer as much protection.
 
Cheers for that Sol, we definitely need a higher level 3rd player for the strike missions!
 
The level 22 weekly strike is crazy hard. Surely you'd need full legendary gear to stand any reasonable chance?!
 
Can any of you guys recommend a decent headset. Just been into GAME and couldn't believe some of them are £200!!

Also how do I accept an invite if I'm in the middle of a game? Sorry for the stupid question

Tried the summoning pits last night with a couple of level 8 mates (I'm 12). We might have pulled it off with Phogoth if not for the damn shrieker. How do you get rid of those??

You mean the one that keeps spawning in that room?

You don't, you get out the room and battle him in the big arena.

Yeah, we didn't last ten seconds in the big room. Figured out that if you camp out in that small room, the enemies don't actually go far in and you can recover there.

You need to all go in to the room and run around getting rid of the ordinary enemies and only concentrate on Gorgoth when it's quiet. Or have 2 killing normal enemies and 1 person nailing Gorgoth all the time.

I'd go with the first, as soon as one person dies then the other 2 need to be more careful and try their best to stay alive or get him back up asap. Don't continue to shoot.

We did it with a level 12, 10 and 9, can imagine it'd be very hard with two level 8s.

Just keep shooting, but it appears constantly, probably to avoid people camping in there.

See above. The summoning pit is one of the hardest strikes. You'll all need to be a few levels higher than you are currently and you'll have to bite the bullet and go into the arena as you can't survive in the small room alone. If one of you die, be careful. When I died when it was just me and one other person, the other person kept jumping around and survived that way until I was able to revive myself.
 
Anyone else reckon their metacritic scores would have been quite a bit higher had they let the journos review it before it was released.

There was far less need for them to give a particularly positive review once it was out and most were playing it themselves, and they saw the way the tide was going with people being disappointed in the game and made sure to make those points in reviews and score it lower for it.
 
I'll be on around 11pm to try an get the strike missions on Venus completed and a few other bits.
 
Sorry @Warlock1 I couldn't join up, I'm about to watch Everton game. I'll be on after 6 if you still fancy a game. How are you finding the multiplayer anyway? I'm struggling with it. Been going negative sometimes :(

I had 3 enjoyable games on my first day on the two only good maps it seems. Since then I've once again hated it.

Trying out this 3v3 Skirmish now. Not enjoying it so far but will give it a few maps to see how it goes.
 
Just unlocked Reef which has a level 10 story? What's that about?
 
This game definitely works for those among you who like the grind of WoW. Has those repetitive yet addictive patterns to it. Safe to say, neither this nor Watch Dogs lived up to the insane hype, and both next gen consoles are still struggling to find a killer app.

Got my first sub class now. I take it it's just gonna be the same but now my grenades are a different colour and my melee is now a fire ball rather than a purple thing and aesthetic stuff like that?

Being cross platform doesn't mean it's not the first big next gen blockbuster.

It's definitely been the most eagerly anticipated game since this generation started.

I think your getting confused with an exclusive title that will make people buy a specific console. That will happen mainly next year with Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and Halo on the horizon.
 
Has anyone got a one month trial for PSN that they got with the game, that they don't need? Long shot but I would appreciate it. :)

I think so. Not really used my sun slinger class much. Mainly stuck to void walker.
 
I'm really not interested in this game, I think I might have grown out of gaming :( I only play Fifa now. I would've been all over this game and others a couple of years back but now I have no interest in playing anything apart from fifa.

A few years ago I only liked playing pro evo. Now I can't stand football games. Maybe you will grow back into them
