Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

On the first wave, just do things as normal, then when there's one or two hive left, get into position and the hive will stay in the doors at the start of the following wave until you move

@Damien - What's on the agenda tonight? 34s? I wouldn't mind dropping one of those exotic bounties.

Saying that, I don't have any keys, so could probably do with farming Wolves for a couple of hours.
34s sounds good. Can hopefully complete at least one then start ascending weapons

The regular bounties today are nice, one of those days where you can get multiple ones done together - killing 100 enemies without dying & melee kill 30 enemies, kill 3 blades & kill ten hive majors. Really helps when trying to quickly level up an exotic like the Fourth Horseman, so if Kate hasn't got hers fully upgraded yet I'll suggest picking up today's bounties

I've got one key. Been saving it for ages for 35, but I think I'll farm Wolves for a bit too to try and get some more.

As for the keys, you don't need them for the exotic bounties - not initially anyway. To kick it off you get an Elder Cipher right as you beat level 34/35 boss, then you have to go to Variks then open a big chest on any difficulty to get Queen's Cipher (not guaranteed) then return to Variks again

Ok. I should be able to get that shotgun and my awesome new launcher maxed, if I switch out characters whilst farming. I'll grab a few telemetries.

Good to know that you don't need a key to get the exotic bounty. Now I know that, I might farm 34s this weekend until I get one.

There's a door right below and to the left of where I'm standing in the clip. You can see the red show up on the radar but none of them go through the door unless you move. When it gets to the bit with the mines it makes it simpler as you can just dismantle mines, go to the left and the person on top can just jump off

Ah yep. That is basically the reverse of what I've found. If everyone is over near the very left back area, they don't come through the door either until you move further across the map. Though sitting on top would make it far more fool proof.

Did any of you want to do the 32 or 34 poe?

ah, I'm not on for long, just thrashing out some of the bounties. Doing the Endless Steppes one now if you haven't done it

Venus: Endless Steppes then Citadel
Earth: Skywatch
Moon: Anchor of Light

Can't remember what the other two are. Just let me know if you don't want to do them or whether you want to go back to reef at any point

I just picked them all up, so happy to do them with you

Plus I know after doing them all, you get a queens favour that has a chance of dropping a key. At least last week it did

@Damien - Going to be eating in around 30 minutes, so I'm just going to run Ember Caves for a while, if you want to join? I'll have no mic for a while, as I forgot to plug it in last night.
Sounds good. I've managed to get two treasure keys today without farming extensively, just been doing a few of the wanted bounties

Giving it a break tonight. Tried doing 34 with my bro last night and got to the last boss - no chance. Don't even know the strategy something about kill the shiny guy if you can find him otherwise break out the shield which is tough.

Blast them with ghorns, the last level is crazy, haven't a clue what im doing.
For the final level, just head right around to the left. Have have everyone clear adds, with one person specifically watching for the eye (silver goblin). Make sure that person kills it and has a heavy machine gun or shotgun. Then just before you get detained everyone head right around and jump into the corner with a bunch of rubble/building stuff in it. Crouch down right in the corner and let the guy with jail break free everyone. After a while you will clear the adds and be able to smash the boss for a bit before the next wave of adds spawn again. Doing this made it fairly simply once we worked out the system, though it is a fairly long fight.

Took us ages to do. In the end we got a Titan to put up a bubble at the entrance and we blasted with Gjallarhorns before the eye came into action. He goes down quick
 surprised that worked. Would be much quicker if you can be bothered waiting for synths and such.

We're going to try damiens way there now just waiting for the bubble to load up.

Just did it again with one Titan and two Warlocks. We died with about 4% of Qodron's health left, I resed and shot a couple of gjallys to down him.

365 Fatebringer and VoC now  if anyone could help me take my 33 Hunter through 34 at some point tomorrow that'd be great

How about now im all alone on the last level.

I'm shattered so was about to go to bed when I saw your post. Brocky and Kate were looking to do it though so invited you to see if they wanted to do it but seems they're off now. I think it's achievable with one 33 but not two, so I won't join as it'll hinder you. Thanks for the offer though and good luck doing it! It's tricky and we had 3 34s with maxed out Gjallarhorns and only just managed to do it on time.

I'll be happy to give you a hand when I get on next. Still need to do it on two of my characters

 thanks Dargs. Yeah that strategy can't be done with one 33 and two 34s so thought it best to switch to the 34. I had already done it on that char before, but needed to complete another 32/34 on it anyway to get that Queen's Cipher

Nice, I'm still trying to get the exotic bounty. Might be best to try and get your character up to 34 before running that again. Bubbles and hobgoblins just make it to hard for the 33.

I'm off for the night. Should be on tomorrow at some point to do the remaining 32s and 34. Will see how I'm feeling before attempting the 35s. That may be a job for the weekend.
