Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Hmm, ok, that might be the way forward. The key is getting him down to low enough health before you've got to kill the second Servitor. They cut it very close, but managed it.

Yeah, the key seems to be bubble placement and speed. Our bubble placement wasn't great I don't think. Might need a few attempts but I think we can do it.

Anybody able to jump in for the 34 boss? Need a 34 please

@Damien - Can those be re-rolled?
No they can't. So your basically stuck with the crappy perks. What is worse is one of the perks is those crappy fallen theme ones that are on all the queen's weapons. So overall, the weapons you can get from Skolas are never going to rival things like fatebringer/VOC/etc.

Yeah, that's pretty shitty. The only real benefit comes if you roll a void one, like Damo, as void primaries are reletively uncommon.

On another note; I got the Elder Cipher last night and opted for the Queenbreaker's Bow. Just waiting to be summoned now.

At least it wasn't the shank perk, thats a plus.

Yeh, though basically all of them are useless except for the generic fallen one. And really you only want that on an arc weapon anyway. I guess it is a good thing really, as it means there is no massive drive to kill Skolas to grind new weapons unlike crota and vog before it.

Ok. Then, from what I gather, I will need to run a bunch of PoE and I get a certain amount of points per completed round and more for boss kills...?
You only get points for boss kills. I ran 28 14 times and got 75 points each go. After the reset, see which level has the most bosses on it and I'd suggest running that as you'd accumulate points quicker.

14?! Holy moly!

If the 32 has two bosses, I reckon that might be more efficient than double the runs on 28.

Is that the step after being summoned, or do you have to do that in order for him to summon you back?

Looking at it from a time perspective, I'd say that a 34 will likely take more than three times longer to complete than a 28.
Yeah, I could get through three 28s in an hour.

Final step of the bounty after you've been summoned.

I love the Lord of Wolves. Can't wait until all perks are unlocked. Yesterday when I was going through PoE, there was someone with a maxed LoW (I assume he was going through it to do another exotic bounty) and he absolutely tore shit up...

Destiny for PS3 is £13 on Amazon at the moment. Is it worth getting it? Lots of reviews say it's pretty boring after a while, all the tasks are the same just a different background setting. Too harsh?

@Dargonk - I forgot to mention, once you first hand in the bounty, you've got to open the chest on a 32 or above to get The Cipher, then hand that in and wait to be summoned.

Also;

Obtain 1,000 points. Level 28 bosses give 75 points, level 32 bosses give 200 points, level 34 bosses give 350 points, and Skolas gives 450.

It's really difficult to say whether you'll like it. The game doesn't really kick in until you're at a mid-late game stage. The demo will only give you a taste of the general game mechanics, which are great. The game relies a lot on the social side of things. If you have friends that play, that will really help. If not, your friends list will grow pretty quickly.

It is very repetitive. If you don't like doing the same missions more than once I probably wouldn't bother.

I have never played Borderlands, but I believe the two games are pretty similar. It's basically a big quest to get the next good weapon or piece of gear. It does get a bit repetitive, but the social side of the game, coupled with the ever-present loot quest is what keeps people playing, I would say.

Cheers guys. Not really into the social aspects of the game, I prefer just to be a loner . I've downloaded the demo, the mechanics are good but not sure I'd want to invest too much time into the game.

@Brocky, can't find my controller so struggling to play via remote play (keeps disconnecting every few secs). Can't see the full message of what you last sent to me but I'm assuming you're asking what I was doing when I was "summoned"? Absolutely nothing. Just came online, went straight to reef and was pleasantly surprised to see Variks with the green symbol above his head.

Yeah, that was it. I thought that it may have popped up whilst you were playing.

It's bloody frustrating waiting for it. Hopefully it drops before I get home from work tomorrow, so I can crack on with it whilst doing the new PoE set.
Yeah. I was lucky mine came relatively quick. Average is usually 3 to 6 days from what I've read.

LoW is pretty fun. Was going to work on fully upgrading it tonight before the weather ruined my plans... I only had 900 kills with a shotgun in PvE but reckon that'll probably go over 2k in a few days as I'm finding myself using it constantly.
