Oh my bad. Are you doing it off the window ledge or all hiding inside the Ogre room strat?. If off the window that's weird he would wonder into that side, people are obviously not headshotting well enough to stumble him.

Window ledge. As stupid things kept happening, we probably should have gone to orbit and came back in as the session must have been dodgy.. will remember that for next time.
Yesterday's failure happened mainly due to our sword guy. He aggroed the swordbearer so he went in the ogre room, he was so quiet while talking on the mic that we missed his signal for dpsing Crota a couple of times. Another time he kept headshotting the swordbearer from that left pillar so none of us could actually see it. The icing on the cake was when we actually managed to do 2 sword rotations and he died stupidly outside the room.

Ideally someone needs to stay outside after the first sword and Agro him so he comes into the courtyard area below th window
In fact, everybody can stay outside after the first sword and hide there as crota won't shoot you.
Just jumped in on a NM Crota checkpoint with a group of German guys and dropped Black Hammer and the Warlock helmet. 
And just picked up the Fang.
I seem to have gotten bored with this.... Not enough new content... hmmm
I wish this stupid game would stop giving me Hawkmoons at the end of Roc strikes.
Yes the quarter master one is ark damage and has AP rounds.
Finally decided to make a titan, so deleted my second hunter. If anyone sees me trudging through story missions trying to get to level 20, feel free to jump in and kill everything for me to speed it all up.

From reading this thread it seems like it's a lot of grinding?
There is a lot of grinding. The game really is 90% grinding once you have completed all the missions for the first time. After that its an endless chase of better gear and repeating things on a harder setting for better rewards. That is the bit that sucks you in.

Have you looked to see if they're doing maintenance in Australia? Though if that were the case it wouldn't have booted you, as it usually allows those who have signed in to stay connected.

I tried the demo for this yesterday, and it seems like a very cool game. Having never really played FPS games on a console before (I've always been a "PC-gamer" before), do you guys play with a keyboard and nouse or the controller? I find it very hard to aim properly with the stick. Any tricks?
