Congrats. I'm doing it just for the extra chance of possibly getting the damn Gjallarhorn to drop. My remaining chances this week are:

If you guys want that and have the cp I'll help out with Crota. I just need the bridge+abyss so if we can get a group going pretty soon that'd be nice, just so we don't sit here for another hour and then we need two hours to down Crota.
 
I don't know if Brocky is actually around. I've invited him but he hasn't moved from the tour in about half an hour and isn't posting on here. We could try with us 5 and find a sword bearer?

Good luck with it. Just a shame that bit of the CE raid is so unforgiving... isn't even enjoyable really, either, and not surprising that when a lot of people have got the Crota weapons, they stop doing it. With VoG there's still that bit of enjoyment even now
 
We just have no luck when it comes to the Crota bit :( Swordcarrier was pretty decent too, just the stupid little things like the swordbearer running away which cost us. Early night for me I think, I do hope we can attempt to finally get it done tomorrow though. Thanks @Brocky In Black (good luck leveling up your Eris), @Anustart89, @NinjaFletch and @Razvan

You need to do that heavy ammo glitch so you can just nuke everything all the time.
Three or four people who are just able to disintegrate him in seconds from anywhere makes it so much easier.

Also- dump Ice breaker and black hammer and try and get an LDR5001 (or any other sniper with armour piercing rounds) you can shoot him through the scienery and he can't hide then.

Can that be purchased from the Vanguard Quartermaster? If so I'll save up for it. Only mainly been having my IB/BH equipped because of my lack of having a decent rocket launcher. Now I've got HoC there's less need for me to use the sniper apart from when trying to kill Swordbearer, or when rockets run out and need to DPS Crota
 
Problem was by running away I mean the Swordbearer literally went into the Ogre room which made things an absolute pain in the arse and something that probably couldn't be easily remedied by an AP sniper.
 
Right now there is a shoot ammo to pick it up gun for sale with the gun smith. There for another 2 hours and 15 minutes

It only takes 3 Fully levelled Gjallahorns to down Crota on hard if you all fire together, do most people not have it yet?

That isn't really the problem. It's moreso the swordbearer running into the ogre room and other stuff... means that it takes too long to get him down so Crota starts moving to the right/left whatever

That's odd, I do the raid on hard three times and we don't get that problem, reckon someone in you team is fecking around. When you go back inside everyone has to be in crystal room, or ideally keep someone out on the ledge and that person can aggro him. I usually stay back and do that, by the time the team come back out the swordbearer is right in the middle.

Another tip, once you guys down Crota's shield switch to your primary weapon and keep shooting him, seems to keep him down a bit longer. I find the raid to be much easier now tbh, most teams I get in can down down Crota in a few tries.

Oh right, yeah why doesn't he just sit on the steps on the side of the stage?. People that do that shouldn't be allowed the sword lol.
