No, I've barely played any of it to be fair as it's been downloading most of the night. I've only played the opening two missions on earth. It just has a lot more to it than most FPS games so I can see it keeping my attention.

Scout Rifle is definitely the way to take on a hard level solo...
 
I'm pretty close to level 7 but have to stop for today. I've been playing level 7 story mission on Moon, World's Grave, but it's been a chore as a lone player. Nice to see that it won't require me to go through the whole level again when I log back in, I'll start over from the moment where I ended (just before the entrance to World's Grave).

6.2 average user score is appaling on Metacritic. This is a really good game.

User score means nothing. Most likely PC fanboys angry. Actually even the review score means nothing.

So far I've really liked it actually. Which is weird cause all the reasons I didn't like the beta and thought it might not be great I've seen people bring up in regards to this. Maybe it's just cause we've won all 3 games so far.

Yeah, still haven't played it as been busy with work and I played the fifa demo, when I actually had time.

Do you have to do all the boring crap you did in the beta and alpha again at the start?
 
I think I might have to plug straight into router tomorrow instead of wifi. It says a network error all the time but it's usually perfect. Good win

Yea the beta was the whole earth section.
 
Sorry to the Xbox lads for my performance then. It was only my 2nd multiplayer game. That's the reason I was shit, honest :D

I wiped out about 4 people with a superbomb in one of those games. I forgot to record it though :(
 
What's the general consensuses on the game so far then? I'm not really digging the story stuff. The level design is bizarre, it's just basically the same thing over and over.
 
29 kills that game. Only 3.6 kd though, which is disappointing considering I had something like a 10 kill streak and then an 8 kill streak.
 
One min just sorting out a skype call as party chat is going weird.

It seems divisive. You either love it or hate it. If your into single player story games don't get it. If you like mmos/ loot games you could potentially love it.

Even Neogaf who were the ones who hyped the game to the stars is starting to change their tune. Either being disappointed or dismissing all negatives with "well I never bought the hype so I enjoy it".
 
Does anyone know what this Vanguard stuff is? I now have Vanguard next to crucible.
 
So the story mode is poor?

I'm not going to bother much with the PvP. I see it something I'd play for a month and then most likely wait for Halo.

But it is nothing revolutionary.

It's okay but not story-driven enough for me which I thought it would be, but I'm not too far into it right now.

Domination again mate. Yeah I'm happy with it mate it's just I started off ridiculously well and then had some stupid deaths in the middle.

Let me know when you're coming back on. Though party chat was fecking up so we've resorted to having the skype app running in the background.
 
@Warlock1 Were you using a semi auto gun or full auto for that 29 kill game? I'm trying to work out the best load out. I've been using a shotgun a lot. And I'm I right that stats don't matter on the guns in PvP?
 
I think the only differences supposedly in normal crucible multiplayer is that Warlocks have a shield, titans regen health faster & hunters are quicker. I'm going to level up a Warlock for the multiplayer eventually.
Regarding the story/campaign I don't think there is one really. You have to play it like diablo or whatever and just think of it as another level to shoot up. I've got a feeling the game will get better the further you progress. I think the idea is to keep going back again and again to unlock more gear etc. and maybe that's why it isn't too story driven.

Pulse rifle mate. It's not the gun though, I just had a good game. My game I've just finished was much worse, got dead on 1.0
 
Anyone else had issues with their Beta guardian not being carried over into the full game?

I can't seem to access my old hunter character. Started story again as a titan. I've redeemed my blacksmith and red sparrow DLC codes. Will they just integrate into the story? Never too sure with the DLC stuff. I got the first and second expansions tpo so assume that will be the same?
 
Wait.. is there seriously only 4/5 PVP maps?

Also, just remembered what I hated about the beta. Went into Clash (TDM) on the fking huge map in the snow. It's ridiculous. You spawn as far outside as possible, and get nailed by snipers and pikes - and that's it. You can't avoid it because you spawn so far away from the middle, and the only way to get to the more closed areas is to run there in the open. It's so bad.

So, that's 1 map I really don't want to play. There's only 3/4 others?
