Gaming Destiny | Rise of Iron launch

Really? I found it really easy to get to grips with and most of the time don't bother. Hip firing works fine at anything less than long range.

Same, i never aim with them. Just hip fire.
Though the long charge ones are hard enough to time.

Yeah ...
but thats not much of an advantage at that range (the extra health). You should have switched to AR and finished him off tbh.
Whatever way it should be balanced thats the way it is balanced. If that was IB then levels and power of weapons doesn't mean jack shit again.
First, yeah, it was IB. Second, I dunno, I'm not sure whether switching to AR would have been any quicker, as I was already very close to him coming round the corner. Normally if you get through the melee animation (which I did) you will at least get the kill-trade. And when IB forces you to play Control, you have to come within melee range of people, all the time.
You can say its hard to use FR and it should one shot and i'd agree with a wizard but
I've got a Light / Beware that probably charges twice as fast maybe even 3 times as fast as your wizard and that one shots.
Its really not much slower than a shotgun in terms of rate of fire, i'd say its rate of fire is similar to the kind of shotguns that do one shot.
While that exists im just never going to feel bad using a shotgun - I know i can switch to that and double or triple my K/D ratio.
In the mean time i'd drop your wizard for crucible. Willing to bet a low impact, fast charge blue will still one shot in IB so why bring a slow charge FR.
I have a Light/Beware (well, two actually) that I could have used, but they're not upgraded at all, which I thought would be a problem with IB (the same reason I haven't decided to fight fire with fire and use the shotgun). Maybe I'll give it a go anyway, but if that is one-shot and quick charge, I think it, too, should be nerfed a bit for PVP.

Only because you use the shorter charge ones I think. I went from using the 77Wizard which I did well with to Light/Beware (which is the far superior PvP gun imo) and now I cant use 77Wizard despite doing well with it before.

Anyway, does Iron banner not have Chest? Thats kinda bullshit.

Maybe you have one of the faster charging fusion rifles, but either way, I was saying in response to people saying the fusion rifle was a one hit kill at medium-to-long range. That's only the case if you have decent aim, timing and stability.

Fairly sure the 25% thing isn't true. I helped a mate do it and we basically ignored the boss the whole time from memory. Just waited out three waves from the ship and the Xyor arrived on that one.

What he read out is that the 3rd ship wont come till Phogoth is at 25%. And it just so happened that when we shot him a bit, it finally came

Yeah I have Light/Beware fully upgraded. Its just the better gun for PvP because you get better stability, range, and accuracy and charge speed at the trade off of impact which doesn't matter in PvP as much (at all?). 77Wizard might be the better Iron Banner gun because you have license to be a bit more inaccurate. But I don't have that fully upgraded so I can't compare.

Starting the nightfall shortly if anyone wants in, just join my fireteam...

Anyone noticed this apparent change that makes solo strikes harder? I do most solo so don't like the sound.

Nah, there's no change, just that with this weekly strike/nightfall being arc burn, people solo will feel it most, especially given that most of the enemies in the Devils Lair deal arc damage.

Good stuff, will solo it after/during the football.

If you want :)

I could do with a normal run with my hunter as well this week.

There are guys that still need stuff from normal as well.

Yeah, I think with a few closing in on level 26+ now, there'll be more able to do it so hopefully shouldn't struggle getting the numbers.

I'll switch to my Warlock now, then when we get to the oracles I'll quickly put the checkpoint on my Titan and Hunter for ease.

Ive ended up in a normal pug- give me 45 or so ill have it cleared.

Probably won't take you long to do yours anyway. With the England game and other internationals being on now, probably won't get six in near future anyway.

Me, you, afro, PO make four so far for HM

I can find us two players if we need, it's not biggie.

True. Depending on which characters we're using, having 3/4 level 30s should make it pretty straightforward to get more

I'm running my 29. You going with your 30? We have afro who's 30 too.

Yeah, I'll be using my 30 for this one. Got none of the HM weapons yet so want to see if I can this time around.

I did it on normal on hunter and I only got shards and the shader. I did it on my warlock and I didn't anything good, it's such a joke.

After getting brilliant luck with raid gear on my warlock and hunter, it's evening out a bit with my titan. Now done 6 normal runs without getting a single piece of raid armour.

Right, I found us a oracle checkpoint but that guy wants to me to finish the raid with him. Would that be okay?

We will, I have it on my alt. Give me 20 mins or so. Just be patient.
