That was absolutely ridiculous. We couldn't even make it past the entrance! Granted there were four of us but still, with there being a 30, two 29s and a 28 I thought we could have at least got past the entrance! Ah well, there's always later in the week after the reset when theres more on
That made Gatekeeper HM look easy (and I've still not managed to complete that yet). Just daft how hard that was.Yeah I know, didn't expect it to be such a performance, frustrating why it didn't let Kaos in too as 2 people on each plate makes it much easier.

Yeah, for large parts it was one on each plate with another roaming between. The Praetorians moved very fast too, which didn't give us much time

Ah feck didn't notice you guys tried to do the raid. Did it on my alt with 5 randoms, 3 of them had no clue what they were doing despite being level 29. Took a while to kill atheon but we got it eventually. Ended up getting raid boots, found verdict (legendary shotgun) and patience and time. Not bad if you ask me!

We must have done the longest ever successful Xyor the unwed kill. None of us knew that Phogoth had to be under like 25%, so we sat there for like 30-40 minutes and multiple disconnects waiting for her arrival. Happy to have it done and finally to have my thorn and bad juju bounties out of my inventory

Are you sure phogoth has to be under 25%? I seem to remember doing it with a friend earlier for like 30 minutes and he eventually just came, nothing to do with phogoths health. Its just a random time when he comes, not set after a certain amount of waves of enemies or something like that.
Welp, I just know I saw a video of a hunter soloing it in 10 mins and right after the guy came up with some info somewhere about 25% and we put him under, she arrived. After us killing about 50 wizards

I got to find out what the boar error code was today and thats about it really.
Destiny's patch guys are monkeys sums its up i think, as it does with all of them error codes it seems.
Well i still think you should go warlock, leveling a second character is a lot easier than the first time.
You could get some random exotic for a warlock on friday, do public events from 18 > 20 and you'll have a second piece by the time you hit 20 (be a long way to 3rd piece too).
You'll be high enough level to do the highest level strikes at that point and you'll get the last pieces you need after reset.
Or you will if the exotic is a helm, they're expensive to get with marks, it might take 2 resets.
Having said that,
I felt the same way about titan before i made one but I like them a lot tbh.
Striker has a lot of fun toys. Its kind of in the same pve boat as the hunters because they're super is a melee range thing basically.
Things like shoulder charge are tough to make use of at times too. Their melee attack is good though, it can be specced to do aoe damage and heal on kills.
Does arc damage too so if your not particularly fond of Fallen Captains its quite good for punching them to death, which is quite satisfying tbh.
Their grenade is really good too.
It was good to level one just because it was a good lesson in how to avoid eating a shoulder charge every 2 mins in crucible

Fairly sure the 25% thing isn't true. I helped a mate do it and we basically ignored the boss the whole time from memory. Just waited out three waves from the ship and the Xyor arrived on that one.
I haven't levelled up the striker class at all on my alt, just went with defender. The weapons of light perk on the bubble shield is perfect for the raid, works well for online too. Gives everyone a 30% damage increase. Also if you have the saints exotic helm, you can blind whoever steps in the shield so you get that bonus too.

Just for the record, the 'loot table list' that's been going round suggests the boots only drop from the templar, but last night I got a pair from the gatekeeper. So you have two opportunities per raid.
Aye, i have two lv30 warlocks now with seperate raid gear and most of the raid weapons, just need the pistol, rocket launcher and pulse rifle to finish the collection.
My hunter is getting no luck at all, i managed to get a team to let me in on a HM oracle checkpoint so long as i switched out to my warlock later, got two lots of energy and shards, then when i got back in, got nothing but energy and shards for the warlock as well.
I am sure each player has a pre determined loot table per run and that its not a random roll on the bosses.
I managed to get a HM raid done over the Oracles & Templar section last night before the reset, I haven't had much time to get it done fully this week. So just a team of 5 of us were doing this section & one of them was a level 27 - after the Oracles the 27 gets the Raid Chest & Boots armour, everyone else shards/energy. So we carry on, cheese the templar and low & behold the 27 gets the Raid Gloves from the Templar... So I've now done about 9 raids and still don't have the damn gloves, yet this guy does 1 raid and gets the full set

unlucky mate! I need the gloves for my hunter too. Found Verdict is decent but not great, IMO shotguns are pretty useless in PvE but excellent in PvP, so it's handy in PvP.IB is back and this weeks nightfall is Devil's Lair.

Ah that sucks man, but IB should be around for a while. You can get the boots and gloves from them to get level 30 and they have some pretty shaders. You can't raid today?

Yeah I thought FV might be useless in PvE, I'll keep it in reserve and just upgrade it with bounties, I think the rest of my secondary weapons have full exp now anyway.I'll give IB a shot later on my 28 Titan (need the gauntlets and boots on that so works out nicely). Doubt I'll get to IB level 4 before the reset though.

If you're good in PvP then you can get to level 30 through IB, shouldn't be too hard to rank up if you're good. It's going to be a long one for me, I'm shit in PvP.
