MMO's are always scaled down a bit graphics wise though, to allow for the fact that so many characters can be on screen at once and all that.
I think that you are getting into the subjective realm of art here. How does Destiny on the PS4 not look better than TLoU on the PS3?

I keep getting absolutely destroyed by the Hive on this 3rd mission. Should I be playing with other people online? I really have no idea what I'm doing.
It's pretty easy, you don't need help. Take it slow, get your shotgun out, once they come at you start walking back and once they get close shot them. Then you take out the others who have weapons, just hide behind something all the time, never go out in the open.
Really fun game! Anyone know if the three classes are the only ones or if there will be any more on release? Also hope the Max level is higher than 20 seems a bit low?!

Completed Earth with another character with a few mates today, did everything on hard. It's ridiculously good. Your character leveling, the mission types, the co-op, the loot - it's fecking brilliant.
My only concern with the PvE mode is the story. The beta really does a shit job of getting you invested. I don't even think I know one thing about the story. I'm a guardian and I go around planets clearing areas, because - it's my destiny? or something.. Perhaps I didn't pay as much attention since it's a beta and I knew I'd be doing it again, or perhaps there is more story elements to add to the first 8 levels that weren't showed, which is possible.
I gave PvP another go. I'm sorry but I really think it's a fairly boring standard affair. It's definitely not Halo, I don't understand those comparisons really.. yeah, you can jump and if you double jump you will float but you get that in Crysis and Titanfall. You run around, aim assist and kill someone before they have a chance to get away or turn around and kill you for the most part, and once you melee them you've definitely won the tie.
Titanfall and COD do that style of multiplayer better, they're faster paced which is far more suiting. You don't get the team work, the intense lasting 1v1s or the power weapons and choke points of the map that you get for Halo. So far it doesn't bring anything unique to the table.
I know I've said it a few times, but I think it's a real shame. Halo is absolutely brilliant, and as much as I didn't want a Halo ripoff, I thought they'd make something more than just competent. Perhaps they'll improve it for the game but it seems too far along for that, or other modes will show something that makes the PvP side special but so far I really don't think it's particularly good.

Yeah, unfortunately. I'll go on it for about 10 minutes between the United game and the Real Madrid game. Won't be enough to fully experience it but will be enough to get a taster of the Moon as well as getting that nameplate.

Would rather watch the game properly on the telly, and don't think I'd be missing much anyway of Destiny. I played some of the Iron Banner stuff a few days ago, and with the Moon stuff it's probably better that I don't play too much of that as I'd like there to be more mystery for the final game.

The 2 hour beta even is live, the Moon is playable. You also get a emblem for live if you take part.

I played the Moon mission, it was pretty cool overall, a bit longer than I thought it would be.
The moon is really good looking, just sat watching the earth spin for the hell of it. Done with the beta now, no more until release.
The moon mission was too easy, did it all on my own.
I stopped at the temple part on the moon, I don't want to ruin anymore of it.

Well it ends almost immediately after that, just have the hive and then the boss to do. You don't go very far into the temple.
Looks pretty decent so far. Going to have a proper go at it tomorrow, although I've only played with mates so far.

Yeah it's the second planet, I think there will be 4-5 planets in total, each with their own missions, exploration and all that good stuff. I think the Moon testing is over now though, just Earth is available again.

Really? What's max level and how long is the game meant to last? I thought it was massive, but 4/5 lots of what Earth was isn't that big.
The whole game is designed around expansions and downloadable content.
Yep new pvp maps, new areas (rumoured to be a ruined Chicago in development), new level 20 loot and new factions/mounts will keep this game going for years imo.
