It's showing 480 for the one on the Tangled Shore but if you go to Mercury and select them from Vance they're 300 so I think it depends which planet you're doing them on.

Went from 501 to 504 light and got a crappy exotic I had but higher light in the process (Nezarec's Sin 508 light). What's the highest light possible to get to without doing the raid? Progress is very slow so doubt I'll be able to do Nightfall before reset. Maybe in a week or two.
Edit: Just went to postmaster and found another Exotic - Phoenix Protocol also 508. Need to find a bunch of Microphasic Datalattices to infuse my legendary helmet then can get to 505 overall light.
Edit2: Went to Spider, infused and still at 504 I confused the XP bar with my light bar. Oh well.

Your rewards get calculated based on your inventory, so you'll want to hold off on infusing your stuff until it helps you progress in raids or nightfalls.
I'm 548 and I haven't touched the raid yet. Dreaming city gives high light rewards from powerful engrams. Plus Prime engrams give high light stuff as well.

At some random point you get a prime engram buff, and that's active until you get a prime engram from a boss/yellow bar.
There are different tiers of powerful engrams, which work in a magical way that I don't understand, but what it boils down to is that you should do your weekly stuff in a certain order, which is: Dailies, weeklies (crucible, gambit, strikes), then nightfall and dreaming city last.
Basically you get +5 or +6 drops if the powerful engram activity is above your current light. After that you get +1 or +2 drops.

@Anustart89 you're good at grinding on multiple characters. What is the best way you've found to level your alts up from 30 to 50?
Run through story mode with a fireteam, all three pop fireteam medallions. Heroic public events for the last couple of levels. Tangled shore has one up pretty much all the time.
Story is probably not the most effective way but you have to do that anyway so it's not time wasted. To progress in terms of LL, there's a white SMG you can pull out of collections at low level that comes out at 500+ (if you've already got a 500 character), so that'll help you along on your secondary.
Thought last night was a good effort considering 5 of us haven’t done it before. I won’t be on tonight as at a mates for the boxing, will be around Sunday evening though.

Yeah, it should work. Saw a video on it after I'd completed all of mine. And yeah, that guy in the video had it at 513 so LL - 20 makes sense.
So if you have a raid checkpoint you either need to do the castellum again or use the underbelly to reach Calus, also it seems you lose the checkpoint at weekly reset if we want to finish it off.
Plus I've only completed it once so trying to guide it was kinda weird and I probably missed some stuff but at least we got most of it done and it'll be smoother if we try it again in the future.

Well considering I don't have it I can't fully comment on how good it is ... but it's supposed to be very good, it's a strong archetype and with outlaw and rampage it's a very strong gun, the Ace of Spades is probably closer to fatebringer though in terms of perks. Handcannons are probably my favourite weapons so that's why I want it.

If I remember right, there's three or four from the clan who was in the raid last night so if you lot manage to complete it before the reset we'll get the engram for that too.
The adventures are alright, this weeks ascendant challenge involves climbing iv tried it with 2 different teams and made it up to the top to late
Yeah, I've got no chance then. Though I did do well jumping from floating rock to floating rock in Dreaming City/the strikes. Can't really do things like the challenges as they're better with a fireteamNah doesn’t have the perks that fate had. It’s a very steady all round handcannon that’s good at pvp mainly.

It's legendary too so it doesn't take up an exotic slot.
The Ascendant Challenge? Got that as I went around picking up loads of bounties yesterday.
