What? have you tried it? I love it... maybe it's because it makes such cool sounds though

Yeah, I have used it in trials. Would be great for a fireworks show. Not so much for killing an enemy more than 5 meters away from you.

Ah well, horses for courses. It's more of a fun PVE weapon I guess.

I finished the story. Tried the Crucible. Ugh. 30fps for this blows and the time to kill is shite. Not for me.

So now we know there's three rounds, the key seems to be to get a buff of around 60 (our max has been 24 so far I think so we need some improvement) then choose a dog each and whoop them. If it isn't done in one round then it should be doable by the third as one or two dogs should be killed along the way.

For heavy, Merciless or Sword is a must. Set grenade to one which does damage over time, chuck it at each dog and use supers.

Map of gardens

Might be a bit confusing to begin with, but even if we don't manage to get on one dog each then two on a dog should take it down fine with two rounds still to go.

Suggested loadouts on reddit:
Titan - Striker, Aftershock (with two grenades), Pulse Grenades. One Titan threw two Grenades and then shotguned. No Super needed. The other Used their super and kept slamming then used Merciless.
Warlock - Voidwalker, Slowvabomb, Vortex Grenade. I was a voidwalker for one of our two runs. Fire Nova Bomb, throw grenade, 8 shots from Merciless.
Hunter - Gunslinger with celestial nighthawk (might still work without it since the Titans and Warlocks will be able to help, but our hunters both had the helmet.) Throw Grenade, Precision Golden Gun Shot with bottom Skill tree (bonus precision damage) and the merciless.

For peak ridiculousness here's a 2-man pleasure gardens completion:

Tough thing for us will be getting our bearings. Up top, it is easy enough to see location of dogs but in the garden itself after some time there, you can forget which way is what.

So, we're gonna continue it on Sunday? (think that is what was said) Should try and arrange a time we'll all be around for. @Adam-Utd show iWonb4u this post. We should be good.

If you don't have Merciless or a Sword, find a suitable heavy that'll deal a lot of damage.

Probably best that we get stuff sorted in advance, so post your class and weapons you'll be using. My class is Titan. I'll post the other info in the morning.

You guys doing the raid? room for one more?

You get used to 30fps over time. As for crucible, don't play without a group. Team shooting is invaluable in this game. Very rarely, can you simply finish an opponent off before he/she gets away.

On another note, went flawless again. Trials of the Nine is really fun and very rewarding.

Yeah it's really not THAT bad tbh, it's just getting used to it. We were starting to get much better at the end but we need to be less cautious. At times we were slowly walking when we could run, the dogs aren't that smart if they aren't looking your way.

Yeah I think we might stuggle for DPS for 1 dog each, but even doing 2 rounds should still easily be capable. We've learnt the routes pretty well now we just need to do everything that bit faster.

Yeah IMO Sunday night will be best, about 7/8 if everybody is OK with that.

I watched Datto's vid:

It gives you a good idea of where all the flowers are and how sensitive the dogs are, you don't even need to crouch most of the time as long as you don't jump or sprint. I think you would only be able to kill the dogs on the first phase if we got x60 empowering spores, otherwise just getting each dog low and then leaving it for the next damage phase would be best. We did ok for our first attempt I think, now we're more familiar with the mechanics and know how to approach it I think we'll be fine after some fine tuning.

We gave it a shot last night, first time I've tried trials in either D1 or D2, we didn't do great but hopefully we can give it a few more tries this weekend and get some loot from it at least. Our team shotting wasn't the best really so we got picked off quite a lot, I suppose it's just getting used to playing together and as a unit, I played D1 crucible a lot but solo so I'm used to just going off on my own and shooting people, can't really do that in d2 unfortunately.

I've just been watching a few other vids and it seems we skipped part of the raid somehow, we never did "the baths" encounter which should have been before the pleasure garden, weird.

It rotates each week now. Gardens is first this week.

I suggest you split in twos and work together. My friends and I have won 14 in a row on this map. We always push Temple on attack and plant as soon as possible. One watched flank, one watches the middle line, one rotator and the planter watched the defense spawn. I suggest you try this tactic as defending Temple is quite difficult and an astute team should easily be able to control the area in the matter of seconds.

On defense, we split in twos and have one group of two flank depending on where the attacking team goes. Team shotting on defense is key, more so on Keyhole as most, if not all, attacking teams will push one corridor where the defending team should never lose the fight. Dont focus on power ammo, its not as vital as it used to be. And, try not to solo fights unless you know you will win your fight.

What weapons do you use?

Re: Pleasure gardens. If everyone's 280+ you can one-phase the dogs with a x36, or even a x24 damage modifier. What you need is a super that either a) deals massive damage (Fist of Havoc + aftershock) during the entire damage phase, or b) deals damage while you're shooting other weapons (Vortex Nova for example).

What you also need is time, so if you get three flowers and a x36 bonus, you can have everyone run to their dogs and then get spotted on purpose so you can deal damage for as long time as possible. That saves a lot of time compared to being on the right side and the three guys killing dogs on the left having to run there before being able to do damage.

If you're struggling, double pulse grenade + FoH with aftershock is the best way to kill the dogs.

Okay, cool. I was playing it like I would play Titanfall 2, CoD, etc. It worked early on but then I started to get wrecked over and over. Any other tips?

You cant flank, so dont bother. I tend to bait power ammo in competitive. Its not useful but plenty still think it is, so use their attraction towards it against them. Honestly, playing with atleast 2 others will help you win games and do well. Use scout rifles, Mida, Call to Serve, that vanguard one. As for the secondary weapons, I like Uriels gift, the trials auto and SMGs - the Death Adder has a good perk.

What class do you main?

I chose the Hunter class. And I was one of the goddamn mugs who was going for power ammo and getting owned.

Thanks, this is useful stuff.

Yeah its trash, Whats the best launcher in your opinion as iv got one of these fireworks at 301

No idea. I keep getting the Mos Epoch III and its fecking awful. I dont bother with power ammo. You rarely get a chance to pick it up on Trials.

I reckon the Trials launcher will be good. I prefer rockets with tracking. My friend has equipped a blue Reginar-B and its seen us win 14 games in a row in trials :D. Dont think hes actually used it.

Hunters are OP in crucible. Golden gun is your friend. If you are tempted to flank, then timing is important. I will normally flank when my team mates are locked in a fight. The radar tends to render flanking quite useless. So you need to make sure when you do it, the opposition are likely to not be looking at it.

Yeah, individually I can usually hold my own but I'm not used to playing as a team so getting used to that is going to be the biggest hurdle, it'll just take a bit of time.

I use either Mida/Nameless Midnight (though I don't really like Mida) and Uriel's gift mainly, I did use Origin Story and Last Hope in regular crucible the other day to good effect but it doesn't work on this trials map with all the long lanes and endless Mida users.

Call to Serve is a brilliant alternative to the Mida. Ive never used the latter and still wreck those using it.

Okay, played a couple of games in the crucible after taking on board the advice in this thread, and it went quite well. Lost one, won one. Crucially, though, I wasn't completely embarrassed. Thanks for the advice all.

You really can't play it like you do other FPS games. Running and gunning solo is a recipe to get yourself killed.

Just tried that for the first time, it was quite good

I'm stuck at level 271, do I need to make a new character to increase my level from now on?

Engrams drop 7 levels below your light level. You want to complete milestones and attain clan engrams to level up quicker.

@Damien are we ready to try the raid again tonight? Me and iwonb4u are ready just the other lads can you check

Well at least we got 3 wins last night so got a bit of loot from trials, also had enough tokens to get a package from the emissary and got the sniper. Wouldn't mind another run later if anyone's up for it, try and get the challenge for 5 (total) wins done as I have 4, will get us a few more tokens.

Hey guys, would you mind if i join the clan??

I've requested to join and i'm on PS4. My PSN is Brownie2k

Hello all. I am on destiny 2, got a clan so won't join but can a few of you add me. Happy to jump in with whoever really so would be good to be on the fringes of this clan as well. Psn is the same as here, nokillingmoths

Got a hunter and warlock at 280 so far so "raid ready".

I honestly think they should disable the radar perk in pvp, not only from MIDA, but from every other weapon that might have it.

Right now the weapon tiers in pvp are:
1. MIDA
2. Anything else

Disable the radar perk for pvp and it's still a pretty damn solid weapon, just not completely OP as it is now.

Yer, I’m up for that
