I remember that as well. Many of their players seem have a tendency to literally start kicking their opponent players when they're frustrated. A bunch of immature thugs.

He's going to be a great player, but an abslutely disgusting challenge and tackles like that, for me, deserve a 6-10 game ban. That could easily have ended that lad's career and needs to be stamped out. He knew darn well what he was doing and I don't buy the argument a red is just a 3 match ban.

Not a chance. Line up their cuntishness together and Costa comes out much much worse. Elbowing and stamping people on a regular basis while trying to get people sent off multiple times in a game never mind a season. He's a rabid dog who should be put down.
It's the one area that most ex-pro's (perhaps not the midfield or defensive enforcers who were culpable in their own careers) would agree needs to be changed - longer bans for those types of challenges. The majority of players would much prefer to be spat on or verbally abused than be on the end of a challenge like that. Yet the rules and suspensions governing the game don't reflect that.
Horrible challenge but would love him at United. He wouldn't score as many goals as I'd play him as an 8 with him right Pogba left and a 6 behind them but by God he'd offer legs, tackling and passing on the move plus a bit of bite in our midfield.

This. With Costa it's genuinely the 'dark arts', that's why he doesn't get sent off and why lots of defenders and keepers have a smile with him at the end of the game (or sometimes during).
With Alli, there's no control, there's no thought of the team, only his own frustrations at not being able of beating the opponent.
Costa's 'dark arts' help his teammates, Alli's hinder his own team.
Costa is widely regarded as the best CF in the league, and is about to win his 2nd PL winners' medal in 3 seasons.

One guy called him 'psychotic' and if you read other statements you would assume he is actively out to maim and murder other players. He was totally out of order last night, I'm not defending it but ffs you would think it was the first time some folk had witnessed a bad tackle.
You are right he is just a kid, but he needs to tone it down. I imagine a lot of fans feels the same way about Alli as opposition did about Keane.
My problem with the tackle last night is that it wasn't just a mistimed one, it's not really being shown in the clips and pictures, but he lost the ball and was annoyed the ref didn't give him a foul...so he goes diving in to retaliate
I'm not defending it, it was shocking. However does he do tackles like that on a regular basis? No thankfully he does not and like I said previously that was his first red card in his career. He has a nasty, competitive streak and obviously at times can get himself into bother as a result, but is he a rampaging psychopathic monster? Of course not, he is a kid who needs to learn to control himself under pressure situations. Let's not hang him out to dry just yet.
