Jeez that's horrendous. Wasn't there a player in Ligue 1 who was banned for months for a similarly nasty tackle?
A leg/kick related pun is what we need from you

This. Can't have the great man's name associated with this guy. A good, but dirty feck of a player. Horrendous tackle. The "Muhammed" in the thread title is too good for this scrote.
It's probably the worst challenge over that range seen in years. This ks the worst tackle of the season. HORROR TACKLE
Probably because he's used to getting away with it.It's the ridiculous look of disbelief after that gets me.
How can he look hard done by for getting his studs nearer the top of the guy's leg, then the ball!
He will get at least a 3 game banIs it only a one game ban for straight reds in Europe? Kind of ridiculous if that's what he gets away with should Spurs go through.

I feel the same way. It's like once he made contact he figured "might as well get my money's worth". Dirty little shitJust saw the gif.
Looked clumsy first, but then he followed trough!
If he had pulled back, i'd say he was just missed the ball, and been clumsy, but the follow through was no doubt intentional.
Has to be a serious offence. That leg was about 2 degrees away from shattering. From the Uefa rulebook:
"As a rule, a player who is sent off the field of play is suspended for the next match in a UEFA club competition. In case of serious offences, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body is entitled to augment this punishment, including by extending it to other competitions."
Depends if they deem it a "serious offence" I guess.
Delinquent Alligator
They should take a long hard look at it and make the exception of extending the ban to domestic competitions. Certainly with Spurs going out, he wouldn't even serve any punishment for it this season. This one deserves a harsher treatment. From the Uefa rulebook:
