Their midfield is much different now with Modric and VdV out and the other three in. Perhaps a better dynamic but 22m is a deadline day price tag. Teams are getting a bit desperate.

I gotta agree. Losing VDV and Modric is a blow for them, but they've replaced them with different types of players. They'll be more resilient in the middle of the park now and much harder to break down.
Still think they could do with a decent forward. I think they'll get Remy with the remaining money imo. If that's the case then they'll have a very strong, young, athletic and skillful core of players.

New managers want their own boys, don't care much for the ones they inherit because it's not their own choices (unless they are really good).
