Where exactly did I say that? Of course our CL status will always have a direct link to how attractive we are as a club. What I am saying is that for Mediterranean and South American based players, we will still be behind Barcelona and Madrid in terms of attractiveness regardless of how successful we are.

CL status in the current era means that we have less room for failure of course but we look like we are going to get that top 4 spot. Playing sexy football was always a tall order for this season, next season is a more reasonable target IMO considering how far we have fallen.

He will renew and be here next season I'm fairly sure. But if success isn't looming large come summer 2016 you've probably got to fear the worst.

We have invested a lot of time and money in him. Put our absolute faith in him when he struggled to adapt initially. I'd say the club deserves the loyalty of at least signing one more long term contract, giving us another year to get to where we belong and then deciding whether it's time to move on with us in a strong position to negotiate.
Defense is not so.much a problem as attack and that messy 'defense' conceded 23 goals,only chelsea and soton conceded less.

Every sign from De Gea's camp has always been positive. His parents want him to stay, he has always said he appreciates how the club have supported him and stood by him in the difficult times. Then you add in the fact he is an Atletico boy in his heart, I really do think he will stay.
Mendes is just doing what any good agent does, links you with an interested party to get more money. If he does end up leaving it will only be if we aren't performing and not winning trophies.

Can he have it all in Madrid? One thing he would not have is the tag of most important player. Right now he must be high in the clouds knowing his contributions have got us way more points than we deserve. I bet the team are all around him after a game.
