If we return to where we should be in world footbal it shouldn't make a difference.
Basically the only club that might beat Madrid to a player is Barca.
People saying they don't always get their man are delusional. Maybe they don't every time but hey do 99% of the time and especially when they really want them.
I think De Gea is worth a world record fee personally. I hope we can keep him for ten plus years.
That is simply not true as proven by Ronaldo. We were the second most successful side in the world whereas Madrid hadn't gone past the last 16 of the CL in ages. Fact is we simply have to accept for Iberian and South American players, Madrid and Barcelona are more attractive because of the lifestyle, culture, language, weather and so on. There was a reason under Fergie, we rarely shopped there.
Mendes reckons he will stay, yet so many still on a real downer.
Where exactly did I say that? Of course our CL status will always have a direct link to how attractive we are as a club. What I am saying is that for Mediterranean and South American based players, we will still be behind Barcelona and Madrid in terms of attractiveness regardless of how successful we are.So if we don't come top4 this season, you really think De Gea is the only one who might want out.. yeah ok

2 seasons of utter shite like you put it is nothing out of the ordinary if you look at pretty much any top club in the world over the past couple of decades. CL status in the current era means that we have less room for failure of course but we look like we are going to get that top 4 spot. Playing sexy football was always a tall order for this season, next season is a more reasonable target IMO considering how far we have fallen. My post you responded too stated that if we don't buck up our ideas, De Gea won't be the only player heading out the door in the summer. This is the second season of utter shite and it needs to stop.

I think you might be a bit overreacting because of the game today. If you have to bet your house on two teams to make the CL with Chelsea and City, I am pretty sure you would pick United as one of them.No we don't. We dropped a place yet again today. If we don't make it thats another season of utter shite that I'm talking about.
Regardless of what players we bring in in the summer too, if Rooney is the hub of our midfield we will win feck all

I think he was pissed off at himself because the shot was going wide and he could have let it goLooked extremely pissed off after that late save. 5 stops to squeak a point against a Sam Allardyce team.
if i went from having Vidic Rio Evra in front of me, to Smalling Jones Rojo Evans, I'd probably want to leave as well.
I think he was pissed off at himself because the shot was going wide and he could have let it go
Judging by his performance yesterday I reckon that won't be for much longerWhat do Madrid fans think about De Gea replacing Casillas? Hasn't he always been thought of as undroppable by them?

Probably right. But still much better than the mess that is our "defence" now. With all due respect, Rio, Vidic and Evra have beome a defensive farce before being allowed to leave. We'll still sign at least one CB in the summer, whether DDG stays or not.
Dave should wait for a new contract. He deserves CL football.
Defense is not so.much a problem as attack and that messy 'defense' conceded 23 goals, only chelsea and soton conceded less.Probably right. But still much better than the mess that is our "defence" now.

We have invested a lot of time and money in him. Put our absolute faith in him when he struggled to adapt initially. I'd say the club deserves the loyalty of at least signing one more long term contract, giving us another year to get to where we belong and then deciding whether it's time to move on with us in a strong position to negotiate.
I would make him richer than Rooney or Falcao!!!!Thank god you don't deal with negotiating contracts eh
"Err Dave we want you to sign a new 5 year contract because you've been tip top recently, but err I am going to wait until Madrid come in for you and sell you on the cheap, because you deserve it Dave"
He would be the only one that would get more money if he did leave put it that way !So if we don't come top4 this season, you really think De Gea is the only one who might want out.. yeah ok
