Not in all walks of journalism.Being a journalist. What a job. You can make things up and always get away with it.
That's true but much less than in the past. Even so called serious papers are sometimes turned into tabloids cause journalists want clicks and are prepared to write everything to get them. Not in all walks of journalism.
I was about to say only football journalism, but then I deleted it as that clearly isnt true.
But a lot of journalists have to have some kind of record of accuracy. Clearly not necessary for tabloids, or football anywhere though.
No, The Express make up stories from their offices.

David de Gea's representatives holds talks over Real Madrid transfer
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea's representatives have already held tentative early transfer talks with Real Madrid, ahead of a summer move which the Spanish giants believe they can secure for just €30 million.
That is according to Spanish newspaper AS, who believe that De Gea feels his time at United is drawing to a close and is desperate to secure a return to La Liga sooner rather than later.
De Gea is currently locked in contract talks with United over the terms of a bumper new deal, but try telling that to Los Blancos side who believe De Gea fits the bill as the long-term replacement of club legend Iker Casillas.
VALDES SIGNED AS A CONTINGENCY PLAN
The Red Devils are well aware of De Gea's ties to Spain and have already put in place a contingency plan should they fail to keep the outstanding young stopper, signing former Barcelona number one Victor Valdes to an 18-month deal earlier this week.
Valdes will have to be patient for now but could fit the bill should the lure of a return to his home city prove too strong for De Gea resist, new contract or otherwise.
I dunno what would piss me off more, the fact that he'd go for Madrid or the fact we'd accept £23.5m. I don't believe it though.

What's the current record fee for a goalie?
If we sell De Gea I will personally find Woodward and slap him in the face with a wet fish.
A logical explanation is that DDG's camp is stalling, either to make a move somewhere else or to maximize his wages under a new contract. The fact that he's managed to run down his contract to within a year of its expiration is indicative of the stalling. Why does it take so long? We're pursuing Neuer or what?
I don't want to hear the other "what" answer.
With everything that gone down last season who could blame him for waiting a bit before making his decisionA logical explanation is that DDG's camp is stalling, either to make a move somewhere else or to maximize his wages under a new contract. The fact that he's managed to run down his contract to within a year of its expiration is indicative of the stalling.
I also have the weird feeling that it might be indeed due to LvG that he has not extended yet. If LvG happens to be the reason DDG leaves us then I hope he is sacked very soon. I will have the desire to go to his house in Manchester and tell him what a clown he is because of this.I will get slated for this most likely but I just hope van Gaal won't try to go all Hollywood again and put himself in the centre of attention by selling him and trying to prove he can live without De Gea. A part of me thinks he might do that, the way he downplayed his performances around the time of Liverpool game was very weird. Getting rid of De Gea would be the ultimate bold move LvG could make.
In their case it's permissible as they're not our most valuable assets, less likely to want to leave and less likely to be coveted by the top cubs in Europe. Twice we've let Rooney get within 18 months of his contract being up and we've let it happen with De Gea here, it's not a good showing from the club.Looks to me that it's a new club policy to give new contracts to players only before they expire. The likes of Jones, Smalling and Rafael also have contracts up to 2016 and they haven't got any offers to renew, as far as I know.
@Damien could you set the poll end date to when the summer transfer window closes, I can't seem to edit it.
Thanks
Meanwhile, former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has suggested the Spanish giants have no need to sign United goalkeeper David de Gea.
De Gea has been linked with a move back to his homeland with Real, while the Red Devils have this month brought in another high-profile shot stopper in former Barcelona No 1 Victor Valdes.
But asked if he could see Real recruiting De Gea, Calderon told talkSPORT: "I don't know, but what I do know is we already have the best goalkeeper in the world, which is Iker Casillas.
"We also have just bought Keylor Navas. I don't see any need to get any other goalkeeper.
"De Gea is perhaps also one of the top five goalkeepers in the world but Casillas can still be at the top for three or four more years. I don't see any need (for De Gea)."
Morons blaming LVG for him not signing
Tweet not showing mate. What does it say?
It appears to have been deleted. I think it was an ITK tweet saying that El Mundo says he'd signed a new contract. Nothing on the El Mundo website about it, from what my limited Spanish can see.
