Fabregas nailing it Southgate is a pussy
Tell me what he’s saying. I switched it off after the final whistle.

I don't think anyone did a lot tbh. I would say our defenders were the most effective.Yes. I don't just go on goals and commentators.
Who on the pitch was better? Who did more for their team?
Yep.
Usually I blame him for everything, but today it showed up just how average our attack actually is. Foden in particular just doesn't seem to get it.
True. But he also spent the rest of the game losing the ball. Today we will take it, next one when we lose 2-1 then it's a problem.
Did he actually create anything else?
Because in a game when a ref doesn’t give fouls for him collapsing AND/OR in a game against better opposition, that’s not enough in the last 30. Pace is deadly and a fast sub (against tired defenders) is a gimme.Kane was consistently holding the ball up and buying foul after foul in the 2nd half. Why would you take him off when he's the doing the job he's being asked to do well?
Add to that some of his choices for the starting eleven were so poor that he needed to spend subs to fix problems that should have been obvious enough to avoid from the get go. I just don't get what Southgate wants on the pitch. It all looks so utterly clueless and disorganised compared to teams with better coaching. It took him 70 min to take off TAA, foden was trash the whole match. He puts bowen but leaves kane who was basically walking at that point. The team needed speed to kill them in the counter. Put palmer and watkins. Instead he made subs that invited pressure and let serbia take all the initiative.
Foden. At that point serbia was unbalanced, you don't need a fixed attack, just put a couple of creative guys to help bellingham and kill them in the counter.Palmer for who? To my knowledge he doesn't play left or center forward, and he's not that fast.
Honestly there are no changes that fix England.

He was basically saying bringing on defensive players gives the players on the pitch a negative mindset that they have to sit back whereas we should bring on more attacking players and have the ball other end etc.Tell me what he’s saying. I switched it off after the final whistle.
Well I would see a draw as very reasonable.I'm sure if Mbappe, Wirtz, Van Dijk and Haaland were Serbs they'd have beaten England tonight.
Grealish Kane Saka
Foden
Rice Mainoo
And i would win this Euro. (i know that Grealish is at home)
I'm saying our defenders did a better job at defending than he did at attacking, so pick whichever defender you think did best.So what was your point again?
I said he was the best player on the pitch, you suggest I might not say that if he hadn't have scored, I asked who was better then...
He was the best player on the pitch for me. I'm not saying the best player on any pitch, but out there on that one at least he gave a shit and tried and had impact. I'll take that all day long over the rest of the drivel England normally serve up despite all the hype (including the likes of Foden, TAA and to a lesser degree Saka).

So the age old English football philosophy, put on the big named players, doesn't matter if they are out of position or don't match eachother. Flawless mFoden. At that point serbia was unbalanced, you don't need a fixed attack, just put a couple of creative guys to help bellingham and kill them in the counter.
That's why I mentioned bad instincts, like santos. This was not a final or a knock out match against a top opponent, it was a group match against a very average serbia, you are a top team you have to show it and be a bit more ambitious than finishing the game defending a one goal lead like a mid table team.
Perhaps Foden is just a system player
I'm saying our defenders did a better job at defending than he did at attacking, so pick whichever defender you think did best.
Its not about names. , its about system.Grealish and Foden have done feck all on the international level.
Stop trying to shoehorn the names in.
I've given you an answer twice. You are disagreeing with me, so you pick. You know, since I asked you.
No don't think about system, balance, or chemistry, it's about names on a piece of paper. Its not about names. , its about system.
I think a mid three of Palmer, Bellingham, Bowen is worth consideration. Palmer likely to score more than Saka, whilst Bowen did a lot more than Foden tonight. Behind them is Rice and anyone that can walk ahead of TAA. Back 4 the same until Shaw is fit - sooner the better.Palmer for who? To my knowledge he doesn't play left or center forward, and he's not that fast.

I'm talking about the last 20/25 min, not doing it as a system. Good managers adapt during the match, read the situation and the opponent and go for it. Average managers do the obvious subs and cross their fingers. It works when you're playing serbia, it gets you killed when you play france or spain. So the age old English football philosophy, put on the big named players, doesn't matter if they are out of position or don't match eachother. Flawless m
I assume you mean front 3 (please god mean a front 3), I would play Gordon instead of Palmer. I like Bellingham instead of kane.I think a mid three of Palmer, Bellingham, Bowen is worth consideration. Palmer likely to score more than Saka, whilst Bowen did a lot more than Foden tonight. Top managers don't throw players on our of position and completely unbalanced praying for it to work 1-0 against Serbia in the group stage. No manager is that stupid.I'm talking about the last 20/25 min, not doing it as a system. Good managers adapt during the match, read the situation and the opponent and go for it. Both center-backs.Coward answers, for sure.
You took this one on, give me a straight answer to my straight question. Who on the pitch was better than Bellingham?
No. We played 4-2-3-1 tonight. So that would be the three I’d playI assume you mean front 3 (please god mean a front 3), I would play Gordon instead of Palmer. I like Bellingham instead of kane.
