I would say that he might be right. Goalkeeper, defenders and central midfield are not that good at all. Lot of overrated players. I wouldn't be surprised if England don't go further from this group.

England will do well to qualify from this group. They are masters at beating cannon fodder. It's the quarter-final when they meet one of the top teams they will come unstuck as usual.

A lack of a Kane replacement is the big worry for England in the short/medium term. He’s probably got two more tournaments at top level assuming reasonable luck with injuries, but there’s no obvious up and coming youngster.
