Day 23: Netherlands vs. Argentina

and yet Argentina are in the SF of a WC and at this point look the better side....

Looking and being are two different things

Hence the look...

Though I do believe he's mostly just caving to a lot of Messi's demands in style of play. Not necessarily a bad thing to do but effectively putting all your eggs in one basket if that is the case.

Still dangerous. Portugal's greatest cyclist ever (Joaquim Agostinho) hit a dog and fell. Got up slightly dazed, continued cycling, finished the race in apparent good form and was dead 4 hours later.

Michael Schumacher didn't lose consciousness for about 3 hours either. It's a stupid argument.

In that case boxing and mma should be banned

Because you often see them on wobbly legs but recover

man its been a dull game. But to be fair thats how these 2 teams have been playing since the group stage.

Higuain should not be offside there. Lavezzi looking good.

@Damien @Niall the match updates are a great new feature and I really hate to be a pain but would it be possible to put match times at the start of every update? It'd be something simple but it'd make it better, imo.

Yeah something for the future that.

Clearly I won't be going to Brazil to bang her, I'll find her when she's back in Holland.

Christ duffer, grow a bit of sense.

Sense?

Half your age + 7. That's the unwritten law if you are not a dirty old man (or woman).

I just dont get this dull game thing. Its been fascinating, lots of things going on to think about. Two different approaches, lots of little battles going on.

RVP didn't look good on the ball in any game this tournament. Used to be his strong point. I can't tell if he's not 100% fit or it's just the Moyes effect. Probably a bit of both.

For those who remember the talk when I was making fun of the German commentator's knowledge of the offside rule and the bit of confusion on here afterwards... ()

The German commentator just now said:

"De Vrij shouldn't have been called offside because he wasn't actually trying to fight for the ball before connecting with it, instead he was walking back when the ball was played." (not a case of passive offside btw)

(that offside situation where Sneijder crossed it in from the left after Romero punched it away twice)

How does that even make sense?
WHAT the feck are these German commentators on???

Messi and Robben are completly removed from game , look at robben 3 defenders are watching him:lol:

In boxing/MMA if you get knocked down like Masch did(and stay down for as long as he did) you're out. Probably because they don't want everyone getting brain damage.

How big is the Holland-Germany rivalry as of today? Would like to see that final then.

Lavezzi was a bargain. Piss take for 20m. we really should have raided Serie A for the top talents once the money started to drain out.

Lavezzi outshining RVP, Robben and Messi who would have thought that before the game. He has benched Moura for PSG as well, really brilliant player and he has already got a huge advantage over Hollands defenders on Argentinas right flank.

And it's dangerous. They're checked by physicians ever few minutes though, and highly attentive ones at detecting this sort of incident in time. And if the doctor tells them to stop the fight is probably over.

Footballers, on the other hand... Álvaro Pereira blatantly refused the doctor's indication to be subbed off and even shoved him.
