Croatia desperately unlucky to not score today. Not that convinced by Spains display
That was the strangest sequence of events. Why was the goal not given? Why didn’t they retake the penalty as Unai was off his line? Why didn’t Rodri get a red if that was a penalty?
Wasn’t a penalty to begin with so I guess that’s cosmic justice.
Goalkeeper was of his line before that. Should have been retaken if we are going by the rules.Player involved was clearly encroaching. Goal rightfully disallowed.
Purely because I bet on itJust fecking score the open goal, pathetic to fall like that to look for the pen. He could've stayed on his feet
True, but the intensity and defensive attention is not the same when you win by 2 or 3 goals.Spain don't look good enough defensively to win this tournament.
Think it's more that it didn't look to be an attempt to win the ball by Rodri, in which case double jeopardy doesn't come into it. Also didn't look like a foul so guess it all worked out!Why is everyone saying it should be a red card???
Do the Euro's not use the double jeopardy rule, or have people just forgot this rule exists?
Certainly his and Rodri’s employers likely the same.

Knew I bet on it.Dives instead of kicking it into an empty net. Idiot.
Surely they could order a retake for the keeper being a mile off his line when saved it.Player involved was clearly encroaching. Goal rightfully disallowed.

Because I bet on it.How has he not given a red if it was a foul?
How does he then also take away the goal without retaking the pen, when Simon was also off his line too quickly?

Lee Dixon claiming they're running out of steam, 50% a new side ffs
Because I bet on it.
One leg just about still on the line when kick was taken.Surely they could order a retake for the keeper being a mile off his line when saved it.

Also that Oliver is the best ref.7 of 12 starting midfielders and attackers were substituted before 75 minutes today. How exactly would those players have 'ran out of steam'. English commentators and their cliches.
He was slightly kicked. Rodri didn't said anything. He was scared to not get a red. Which he should have. I don't get that rule anymoreDives instead of kicking it into an empty net. Idiot.
Does it have to be on the ground though? Not actually sure, I assume notNah i checked, the leg was slightly in the air. For me, that was not by the rules
Double jeopardy requires the player to make a clear attempt to win the ball man, rather than a clear attempt to clip a players ankles.
Everyone saying it was a dive is missing how little an ankle tap requires.
I put a BTTS ACCA on for all match day 1 games and the odds were 3000-1I've got £2 on a next goal too, so we're in it together mate.
