Day 2 | Hungary vs Switzerland | Spain vs Croatia | Italy vs Albania

Ok, so they got to one final and got decimated by a team that decided not to start a striker. Euro 2016 wasn't a good tournament for them and they lost to ROI (one of the worst teams in the competition), the fact that's your argument says it all. Have a nice day.
The 3 tourneys I mentioned are the only ones played during the 15 years period you cited. They have the best record in the Euros during this period.

Even if you’re points were valid about the individual circumstances (which they aren’t, for example the ROI loss happened with a weakened team when they’d already won the group and they beat Spain who were the double holders), a final, a quarter final and a winning tournament does not support any argument that they’re been “shite” in Europe for 15 years regardless of how deep you delve. In fact, no team will have a better record in that time.

Maybe we have different definitions of good. A final is good even though you got humiliated, and you beat a declining Spain team and lost in the quarters which isn't great for a team with the reputation of Italy. You've got a low bar and that doesn't make what I said any less true. I'm guessing you're Ten Hag in.

I'm not sure why you replied all you've done is prove me right, and no, they dn't have the best record in this period. People on this forum are on crack or something.

Nope, I’m just refuting the claim that they’ve been shite when there’s literally no team with a better record in Europe. “A low bar” when we’re talking about a country who hasn’t even qualified for 2 world cups in the same period.

To anyone reading this:

Italy’s European record in the last 15 years:

2016 - Quarter Final
2021 - Winners

Knockout round victories: 7

Teams with more knockout victories in the same period: 0

“On crack” to say they’ve got the best record
